Hey gusy im not sure what my mileage should be in my 06 4x4 Titan. I hear 14 to 16 at best but i feel im not even getting that. i will have to do the math next time i fill up. If i am having MPG issues what are some areas to start looking at to try to fix it.

first of all, you need to check it over multiple fillups, and average it out.

with an 06 you could have cracked manifolds which would cause the mpg to go down. Also if you have had the IPDM issue, your cats could be clogged, or bad.

oh i did not state i have the off road package on the truck so the old 4x4 Off Road of the Pro4X same thing difference names what ever lol it has the 3.36 gears in it i believe if not mistaken. anyways i have been told that 270 on in town driving is about normal. and that is about were in sitting with my MPG i think. If im wrong please let me know.

Would cracked manifolds give a code??
Cracked manifolds (both sides) didn't throw any codes on my Titan. You have to listen for the sound and smell at startup and watch the MPG. Mine also started overheating when towing up a steep mountain. That was my final clue that something was off.

It's a ticking sound, mainly for the first minute or two after a cold start. If they're real bad they'll tick non stop. Don't confuse the sound of the injectors and cam followers with a possible bad manifold.
The p0420 and p0430 codes won't appear until the cats have been compromised from the engine running too rich. You could also get a code for the engine running too rich, but it's usually just the codes for the converters.

Also need to make sure that your O2 sensors and good. They will make it run to rich and cause bad MPG.

14-16 is about right in mixed driving on a stock truck.
Godzilla and I have the same trucks. Exact same except color and that's what we get.

I get between 11 and 12 on average. I got 14 on the dot, coming back from MS, the other night, but that's only because I had to back it down because of the rain. The trip to MS, I got 11.8.
