I see a lot of people out there looking for dealers or people with software to get the 2* timing advance done. I was thinking about just buying the Cipher software myself and charging a nominal fee to recoup some or all of the expense. I figure if there are 10 people out there looking to get this done, $40 should cover my cost which is still less than most stealerships are charging. I figure once I cover my cost then I would charge maybe $25 a shot and use the money for more mods (hey I'm being honest). The more people the cheaper it will be up front. I plan to use the software more down the line but can at least get the ball rolling with the timing advance.

I know the safety of this mod has been discussed but if I decide to do this I want to make sure that all agree I am not responsible for any problems associated with it (ie knocking/pinging/use of cheap gas, etc). Obviously, I will try on my truck before anyone else's.

I am trying to find a buddy with a laptop with Windows XP to make this mobile since I don't currently own one as opposed to setting up my home computer in my garage.

In any case, I figured I would gauge the interest in doing this first. I am ordering my lift this week so depending on the take rate is when or if I will order the software. I figure its a good excuse to meet some fellow Titan owners and help others out in the process including myself (again being honest). I am not opposed to doing this in a more centralized location if the take rate is better and a better venue and I have a laptop. Maybe even a meet for Orange County, Riverside, LA, San Diego, etc. Ok now that's all just wishful thinking. Just thought I would throw it out there.

If someone else has already started something like this let me know. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade and I don't to break any post rules.

Not a bad ideal...but my dealer up here in N. Cali charged me $35 bucks.

Looks like Stillens plug and play ECU module will include a timing advance. Interesting! It is supposed to come out around Jan 1. Might have to hold my $$$ for that bad boy. No pricing info yet.

I drive through Hesperia every time I go camping, at least most of the time, that wouldn't be a problem if it comes to fruition.

Titan meet on the 19th in SD, get on the thread and maybe, it will be worth driving down for!!!
