Initial Impression: Truck seems a little more "heavy" and slower to accelerate, but not by much. I could definitely tell something was different in the truck, but not a bad thing. The city mileage sucked around 10mpg, but the highway mileage was around 17-18 according the scangauge when I was going around 60mph with minimal throttle pressure. I paid $1.75 a gallon for it, which was about 27 cents cheaper than regular. I'll keep yall posted on my impressions of it. I've got the Scangauge so I can gauge the mileage in realtime driving conditions..This morning on my rushhour commute to work I averaged 12.9mpg with the E-85. I didn't get to floor it completely, but it did feel a tad sluggish, but that could be in my mind. I'll test it out more this afternoon during lunch and on the way home tonight when there is no traffic. I'm not expecting to come out ahead on the $$ side of it, because I know right now it's not cheap enough to be a value, but I figured what the heck-I'll try it out. And the brochure on the pump had Nissan Titan (May '05 - Current) as being FFV compatible...I think it's a little misleading though, because I don't think EVERY May '05-Current Titan is FFV compatible, only if you had the FFV package. Do they all come with the FFV package now?

I bought my 2006 LE in Albany, NY in April of 06. It is not FFV rated. When I was looking back then, the only FFV Titans I could find by searching dealer's inventory seemed to be in the mid-west.

Let us know how the remainder of your test goes.

so what kind of mileage do you usually get with 87 oct.?
Around 13 city, 18 open hwy

The problem is I'm not on the open highway enough to get a full tank of 18mpg...I'm usually averaging around 14-15 combined since most of my driving is city traffic/stop and go.

E85 in a titan thats like having an elephant in a china shop :rollingey

E85 will be slower and will give lower fuel economy. It just burns cleaner.

Even here in Iowa, the middle of corn country and ethanol plants, you don't find E-85 pumps very often, and it's still not even close to the point of being a better value. I do the E-15, but I'm not even going to fill my tank with the 85 until it makes sense economically...and that may never happen until they take the fuel tax down on this mix.

funny you should mention about E85 because i was tempted to try it out last night when i was getting gas for my truck. too bad M&H had a special where the Premium Unleaded was the same price as the Regular.:D
