Great info...I want some extra power...but quietly.

Also...Did your Volant not use the stock Y? I want to ad an exhaust and intake for performance and effieciency. But, I really don't want it to be loud. Also... the stock tail pipe is slightly staining the chrome on my bumper.

The third picture in your post looks like it shows a seal leak on the left rear tire.

Well, I bought Jason's (jaho1979) "dead" Banks muffler, Banks tailpipe, Banks tip, and stock y-pipe for a very reasonable price. Jason got a return authorization from Banks, so I sent the dead Banks muffler to Banks, and they sent a brand new one to me for free. Volant was nice enough to include an extra pipe in with the Volant system I originally had on my truck. The pipe had just been sitting in my attic. It was bent perfectly to line up to the Volant muffler (center in, center out), and it was already impressed in to fit inside the stock 2.5" y-pipe and into the 3" volant muffler. Since the Banks and Volant are nearly identical, we found that this extra pipe worked PERFECTLY with no cutting. So, I have the stock y-pipe, Volant pipe connecting cut-stock y-pipe to banks muffler, banks tailpipe, and Banks tip. It was a VERY easy install. Between Jason and me, it took us about two hours to let my truck cool down, remove Volant exhaust, install Banks exhaust, wash our hands, and test drive the truck! I have plenty of pix and a video of the exhaust..I'm not too happy with the video quality of the three-in-one I posted, but I'll get some new videos (including "drive-by" videos, 0-60 outside cab, etc) once I get back to the lakehouse in April and I get back to the old deserted roads. BANKS Exhaust Video! was performed on a closed course..do not attempt (ignore the 35mph sign in the 3rd video).

I'm extremely happy with the Banks! The "drone" is tolerable, and actually seems non-existent at 70mph with cruise control on. There is light drone at 60-65mph, but I don't drive at that speed a lot. I tried to demonstrate this with the video. The Banks is about 50% louder than my Volant, but is quiet at idle, just like the Volant and stock exhaust is. However, when you stand right next to the Banks tip, you can hear a low rumble. Truck definitely seems a lot quicker in the low-end using the stock y-pipe. It is loudest at 40mph, but is sounds absolutely awesome! I can't wait to get some better videos so you all can really hear how awesome it sounds! I'll try to get the same clips/location as I made my Volant clips at. The Banks muffler is brand new, so I expect it to get a little louder in the coming weeks, but it is extremely loud already! I got gas right after I installed the Banks, and I already had someone come compliment me on the sound of the exhaust. My Volant (less than 4 months old) is for sale in the for sale forum, which is an excellent exhaust. I just could not pass up the deal on this Banks exhaust.

Yes, the Volant came with it's own y-pipe, but it also came with that extra pipe in case you wanted to use your factory y-pipe.

Yes, I had a blown rear axle seal. Those pictures are old now, and I had the axle seal replaced in early March.
