Looking for out of the box adds to improve MPG and performance? advise please

Yep, this is how I keep the GuPV UPMy daily driver is a Leaf. I'm hoping I can keep that going for a while. With the free charging station at work it's been nice to not have to pay for fuel this past year.
So I know it must be an adjustment coming from a car about half the curb weight and HP. Its a science thing as stuff gets bigger it costs more to move it. I am happy as this is my first truck that would get over 20 on the highway, and that is about a 20% savings at the pump for me. Its all about what you are used to.Gee bus .....
lol
Hey, I just traded a '13 Altima for this '18 Titan - I read the mileage figures, but until I $Paid$ for the gas it didn't really hit home - and it has knocked the crap out of me!
I consistently got 38mpg driving 70-73; have seen42 mpg, so .....it'll take a while if I can adjust.
Ain't that the truth! My Leaf needs a periscope. Going from Big Tow mirrors to these dinky little mirrors really sucks too. I've nearly been in a couple accidents because I couldn't see people in the side mirrors. I loved those Big Tow mirrors. The worst part of owning a truck is once you are used to being able to see in traffic it is hard to go back to a sedan.
Have been driving Nissan trucks for 14 years. Air intakes do help with both performance and will usually throw in maybe 1-2 MPG. My last one I put in a K&N intake replacement and my mileage went up by that and throttle response was quite a bit better. You could do exhaust. I have seen a few exhaust systems. that have dynoed on the 17 Titan for 20 horse/torque gain. Fluids won't really change much of anything in the new titan since everything is most likely already synthetic. I was even told by the dealership that Nissan factory oil is rebranded Mobile1, and all the diffs and transfer cases have been synthetic for years. Thanks chief. I’m not looking for “good” mileage. I’m looking to fully maximize the mpg the best possible through any reasonable means. I’ve had full size trucks my entire life, so the low mpg is not a surprise. But, I always knew Titans had “the worst mpg” on the planet. That said, I bought the Titan over the others because it was the perfect fit for me. As with my other trucks, all GM, I know there are ways to improve mpg, either by changing air intake, chip upgrade, etc. since this is my first Titan, I thought other owners might be able to save me some time, money, and heartache by offering up what did or didn’t work for them. If you have any valuable experience, I’d love to hear it.

Best mileage on my 17 Titan has been about 24 MPG going 55-65MPH for the entire tank. The only thing I have done is replace the panel air filter with a K&N. Have never had a problem with acceleration in this truck so I don't know if it really made a difference there. I plan on switching to the K&N Air charger intake when I get some extra cash and time.
The thing that has always killed mileage for me on my Nissan trucks is new tires. The factory tires on my 17 Titan are 51 lbs... almost every tire that I want weighs more, so I am going to have to take a hit on MPG to get decent off-road tires. When I did that on my last truck I lost 2 MPG, just with the tire swap when the tires went up 8 pounds.
My experience with my last three Nissan trucks is that best mileage is achieved at around 55 mph with no cruise control on. They have a very controlling cruise control and it does constant throttle adjustments which hits MPG for few. The reason that most get worse MPG is that these trucks are so much easier to drive faster and rev which exponentially makes your MPG go down, but hey its fun. Anything above 55 MPH is going to hit you for mileage. For example, I did a trip going 80 MPH for about 300 miles last week and I got around 19 MPG... if I had toned that down as I have in the past it would have been around 24 for the same trip.
Most people that complain about mileage on here say that they get 10-12 MPG and then only drive their truck 8 miles a day (4 miles each way). My truck usually take 8-10 miles to warm up to efficient operating temp in both the engine and the tranny, more if it is -20 out like it was a few times this winter. So just realize that short trips in this truck are going to bring out the worst in your MPG.
