Okay, I just got my ecu back from Uprev today and so far I have about 12 miles on it.
Seems like at this point there is a noticeable difference in the bottom end and I havent tried the speed limiter yet either. It seems like the "SLIP" light comes on easier and more frequently than before also.

This is all I've noticed so far but I havent driven it much to this point. I'll fix that tomorrow with about 100 miles of driving or so..

So far worth every penny and switching between the maps is way cool also. Kinda like a "go baby go button". lol

Steve do us all a favor....burry the throttle from a stand still and tell us if there is a diff in low end?....lol!

Thanks for sharing,....
Funny thing, thats the first thing I did with it when I got on an open stretch of road.

Blacknight -

Stage 1 with three maps, stock, 93 octane and Teen/Valet= $500

Smile on my face after lightin them up = priceless!

Results are consistant with expectations, Slip Light is because of open rear. Detroit TruTrac would solve that, but with the E-locker, you might stay with what you've got. Congrats on the new HP! :)

does anyone know how much hp and tq it adds.

Here is my b4 and after on a custom tune(compare top 2 lines)...The biggest gains are not shown on the dyno. This tune gets rid of the drive by wire/Tq management, so your throttle body opens up all the way from a stand still. Before your throttle body only opens all the way after 40mph. Nissan figured the backend of a Titan is to light for all that power...Thats why a heavier Armada is a tad quicker...I gained a "FULL' second in the 1/4 mile, my AFR was pretty bad off from the headers though...

Err... let make this clear. I see that on a dyno chart HP goes way after 5500RPM. Does UPREV tune fixes the cut in power after 5500RPM?

They don't have the ability to do that. Only new cams could really fix that.

Edit: But if you're refering to the rev limiter, then they can probably change that, though the guys that run at the track will tell you there's no point in being past 5.5K on this engine.

I am refering at the dyno chart. After uprev the line goes like after 6000rpm

Sweet matilda...nice to see a mail in reflash post!

Here's the data from my custom tune. I was first but I know allllllll about Low end torque.

I need to go back and get retuned after these Stillen headers.

I want more info on the Uprev tune, where can I get it? Also if I install the tune what about when taking it to the warranty, will it be voided? Or can I switch it off?

Could I get a good amount of horespower with just the intake, T/B MOd and Tune???

Sorry for all the questions im new to the Titan World...

Thanks

Like I have stated before we could really cut the 1/4 times if we could change the overrev from 6000 to 5300-5500.

On my truck, that is the single biggest restriction.

Well you can get more info at Uprev.com and or searching the Titan websites for posts of guys running the tune. Warranty? well they (nissan) would have to prove it was the tune that did it. Uprev does not touch any of the saefty features so those all operate just the way they come from the factory. You can map switch to stock map (the one your driving now) at the time you take it in to dealer. I have seen dynos with stock exhaust and intake get 290HP on a custom tune. Your best bet would be to get an exhaust and then tune. If you add headers you'll need to retune. good luck and it's one of the best money spent items.

This would have to been done through the tranny ecu which no one wants to touch. Maybe someday. Do you think with a 91octane tune, tb spacer, and intake would help me tow better?

Yes it would along with a 2 degree advance. Also from the looks of your avatar I would get some airbags for the rear or some Hellwig helper springs.

The most preformance gains can only be achieved by tuning for premium fuel. That being said, you need to check into what octane is readily available in your area. You could do any part of that and notice an improvement but each will be in a different area for instance, the TBS will give more low end grunt.

As for towing someone told me before that towing should be done in only the stock map. RB, I think that was you? The more looking into the reflash I did the more and more that seemd like good advice. The Tow Mode is just that and should be used whenever you tow for reasons clearly pointed out in your manual. The same can be said for towing using the stock map.

You can however improve your towing experience by adding a TBS and CAI like you mentioned. A set of Helper Springs would help out too. Really depends on what your trying to accomplish while towing?

I did put about 170 miles on the truck today and it is a different beast altogether after the reflash. Throttle response is awesome and take offs are like my wifes Maxima. Smokes the tires a bit more and the "SLIP" light is on a lot more often.

I gained so much power on the low end I'm having problems getting out of the hole (the spare tire and tailgate will be going back on). Just when I think I've got it figured out... I don't. LoL. Its been tough adjusting to it, but I'll get it down pat soon.

I said it before and I'll say it again... The dyno sheet does NOT do this mod justice.
