Can't speak directly to the Gen2 Titan, but the Gen1 did not do well with a supercharger.

As I said, there was an attempt to use a roots style blower on Gen1 trucks. It did not go well. You're welcome to trash your truck but the reality is, you've been warned.

Search this forum. There are a number of threads on folks' experience with attempting this. Almost every one failed to achieve any sort of reliable system with the available kits.

Yes the overall consensus is that engine reliability will be dramatically reduced by forced induction. What about NOS? Anybody try NOS in these engines? Please advise if so...
I know the Venom Titan does pretty regularly on his runs, the last known being when he ran 11.47 last year..and mentioning the harrop sc drop. Would love to know if that build is finished but haven’t seen anything yet. 10 second Titan yes please

How do some of the people think that a forced induction or supercharging a truck would trash it. With expert installation and fine tuning the ecm it should be very streetable. I'm not wanting a race truck but if you can do forced induction on a Toyota Tundra I'm sure it can be done on a Nissan Titan. And the supercharger on tundra has been around for a while it's no different than a supercharger on a Chevrolet or Toyota or a Ford it's all about installing correctly and tuning it for maximum efficiency. So it's not like I would be trashing the truck. I would not be installing it in the first place I would have a custom shop instal in that could handle the job.

Thats literally what everyone else said before they blew $10-15k on trying it and failing. Even with good shops and knowledgeable people, its failed miserably. Kind of like socialism/communism...everybody who tries it says the folks who failed just didn't know how to do it right.

For whatever reason, the Titan doesn't respond well to supercharging. It's hard to tune and maintain, and it is hard on the transmission. But you show us how to do it, man. Prove us wrong.

I want it to be possible as well but there’s just a magic formula no one has been able to figure out yet, whether it’s specialized nissan dealerships (heard of one in FL and another CA I think), custom tuning shops (majority), or the supercharger manufacturer themselves.
Details are prob not 100% b/c doing based on memory but..:
One member who gave prob the most info on his experience had his done by a tuning shop for initial install..engine blew. He replaced and had more issues so had his truck shipped to Stillen and they did a number but I think took care of most of the bill. His truck acted up again not even a few days later before blowing again. Replaced engine 3rd time and sold car with blower removed.
I say this b/c he mentioned Stillen had said a lot of the s/c and related parts had issues b/c of not correct install. Then the company that makes the S/C couldn’t get it right.

...so I think a lot of people gave up after similar stories b/c if there’s no proven roadmap already laid out or heard of, different shops around the country are all struggling to get it right, and the company who makes the dang thing can’t figure it out.

I think it’s possible, but it’ll require building a T that closer resembles Venom than a stock Titan adding a blower imo. I hope someone proves it can be reliable..

Is my assessment somewhat right on why some of y’all think it can’t be done?
