no, I didn't want louder, I put a Spintech 3000 pro street muffler on the truck and It's a little louder than I expected, not obnoxious loud but I can live with it and don't want anything that will make it any louder. My wife on the other hand says it's not loud enough and she's the one always telling me to turn down the radio, it's too loud

I had some aftermarket thing that sort of look like a spin tech. Local muffler shop put it on. It was obnoxious. This thing sounds stock until you get on it. No drone. It’s what I should’ve put on there when could’ve bought it cheap five years ago. I think I have pics of it on my phone. It’s truly embarrassing. When my wife saw it, she had no problem with the Borla.

I would say, just buy it. Better than anything you’re gonna get out there. I think AFE has some thing similar. But more expensive. If it’s still on sale that is.

that is a hilarious can insulator.

Found this old link about ECU reset, etc. In post #19 a forum member made an easily viewable/printable word document on the procedures.

It's rotomolded.

As for the fuel filter, it's available at any auto parts store. Just tell them you need one without a check valve. Put some brass screen over the other end so spiders don't nest in it. The flat kind (disc shaped) usually have a check valve. What you want looks like this (but you have to be sure it does not have a check valve):

What about something like this?

Without knowing the makeup of that filter, hard to say. What you want is a two-way filtration to keep air flowing in and out without introducing additional dust. The trick is, free air movement to adjust pressure as heat/cool cycles occur, without slowing that airflow much if at all.

Try your local hardware store - something simple like a generic fuel filter for a riding lawnmower should do exactly what you need it to do, @dubyam is correct. I just bought a filter the other day for my Scag - it was $4.99 and they had a box of them by the register. They probably sell 20 every week during summer months.

Well, you just wasted whatever that thing cost. The stock intake is perfectly adequate. A drop in K&N would be fine. No need to relearn the TB, it will do it all by itself
I’m pretty sure dyno results show increased performance if an aftermarket CAI is added over and above doing just the exhaust on the Titan. Not sure if the drop in K&N was compared.

One issue that comes up with some CAIs is the Titan TB whistle. I think people complain about how loud it is it with just the K&N drop in.

Any slight performance increase you may get is not worth anywhere near the $300+ for the new intake. Its plastic tubes and a filter, made by many different companies, only because the profit margin is insane.

This is such an ignorant comment in a free market economy. There's always someone who says "waste your money" but I always say that it's okay to support the aftermarket. Where would it be if we didn't? I guarantee there are non-essential items that you "waste" your money on. Go support the economy while you still can!

Your ignorant. $300 for a CAI is a ripoff. They used to be around $150 for a high quality well engineered one. Then when every tom **** and harry decided they wanted one, they became $300 +. No ignorance, its called an educated opinion. They can actually cost you power in your typical every day driving scenario where your engine normally operates. They might shift the power band higher, for example, to where you never are, unless your at the track or driving like an idiot on the streets.
