Thanks for the info, what tranny cooler and fluid are you going to go with?

Sorry, but after reading this and looking at the numbers you guys are putting down, i don't understand why you bought one of these. It seems to me that not only do they have small numbers, (sorry guys but size does matter) but they can't even take that. What good is a truck if it breaks when you stab it? I just don't get it.

Sorry to hear about your problems....I pulled the S/C off. I was custom tuned and went through 3 trannies and no solution in sight. Just to much down time on a daily driver. It's was just to hard for me to keep my foot off of the pedal.

You don't know what you are looking at! No one in this thread is showing forced indcution times/dyno #'s. You are looking at my NA numbers (315/373). I was put down 411/425Tq with the S/C 13.2@105 1/4 mile (street tires)...Project just never turned out reliable, so I never posted. I think I was only running on 7 cylinders when I dyno'ed ran the 1/4 mile, found a bad plug later on. Our tranny is the same as a 350Z.

Ford man must be bored lurking around in here...

Dang man, i'm sorry to hear about all your troubles. 3 trannies? That's crazy. I drive mine like i stole it everytime i get in it and so far zero issues. 3 sets of rear tires burned off so far and i only have 30k miles on it...

What's the gearing? Does anyone make a bulletproof aftermarket tranny? Have you tried talking to anyone about putting together one? Try getting ahold of BTS (Brians truck shop) They build bulletproof Ford 4R100 and E40D's. Maybe they can set up something for you guys. They may even have a conversion kit for you. Here is a link. http: // www . brianstruckshop . com

I paid 16500.00 for my truck and can afford a whole lot of upgrades and repairs for what you paid for yours. how much was that exactly? lol. No, come on, really, how much you got in it?

Is your intent to cleverly insult our trucks and brag about yours? Are you really here to contribute something or are you just trying to antagonize people? Is it just me? I read through all your posts and I can't figure out why you're here. So why is that exactly? Maybe it's me but I sense a certain tone to your posts. Maybe that's just my perception. Am I wrong?

No man i'm not trying to insult your trucks at all. I was making an honest attempt to try and help you guys with what seems to be a real issue with your trucks. There are tranny builders out there that might be able to come up with a workable solution that won't cost you an arm and a leg. I know there are issues with every manufacturer.

Now about the question of cost. I paid $30k out the door brand new with every option available. These are all numbered trucks. Only 12500 2002 were made. Less in 2003. These are the only 2 years they were available with factory s/c. 2000, 2001 and all others after 2003, are still numbered and very limited but not s/c. 2004 and up they are also available with diesels. If you have never seen one or ridden in one, it's very hard to understand our dedication for this truck.

I hope this helps.

Does a S/C Harley truck come with the same exact tranny as a plain jane F150? I don't think so...Yourwhole drivetrain was engineered for a boosted motor ours wasn't we are fine naturally aspirated ...a Titan 04'-06' (non VVT) dyno's 260ish stock I added 55rwhp from bolt on's and was running 14.0's (15.6 stock)reliabaly. The tranny can handle a 90 shot of NOS but the blower is just to much. I was custom tuned and had the worst luck. Otherswith the S/C guys (piggy back) w/stock Tq management have had better luck. I just didn't want the Tq management and paid the price...

I know you are not running stock boost with those dyno numbers, what size pulley? It's must be nice to have forged internals : )

I have an 8# pulley (= 14# boost)...stock internals..NOT forged. The motor i have coming (already paid for and waiting arrival) does have forged internals, stage 2 heads and cams and I have a new Whipple (up to 25# boost) to top it off with. The stock 4R100 (same as the Lightning) can handle quite a bit of abuse and power. The as you say plainjane f150 does not have the 4r100 and do break with high hp applications, but, there are a couple of really good tranny builders that do make bulletproof applications for both trannies. That is why i brought it up and pointed you toward Brians. I'm sure there are some of you who would love to be able to throw down 450rwhp or more and dance to the music of a blower. Is $2500 worth it? Maybe, maybe not...depends on who you ask. It's not just about racing, it's about towing and pulling. Some people will never need it or want it.

I doubt there are many people out there building bullet proof trannys for a Titan.

Has anyone asked them too? It never hurts to ask. Give them a call. Maybe if you can get them a broken one to look at and tinker with? I say give them a call. It might be as simple as a rebuild kit that can be bought thru a group buy if you get enough people interested? Who knows? Just an idea.

No way you are running 14psi on unforged pistons. Isn't the Harley motor a slightly de-tuned version of the lightning motor? I thought the lightning motors came with forged pistons since they were boosted? I thought anything that comes boosted from the manufacturer has forged pistons.

The cost to bullet proof a Titan tranny is 3,800 plus shipping via IPT, plus they cryogenicly treat all the tranny parts prior to the build. Comes with a 12month 12,000 mile warranty. Level 10 charges 5,300 plus shipping with a 6 month 6k mile warranty. Both builds include a new Tq converter...

That's crazy. BTS dares you to break it in 2 years.

Wow...i wish you guys luck in this quest..it seems Nissan isn't putting in any better quality than is absolutely needed to get by. I'll bet if someone try's real hard they'll find someone here in the US that can build them for under $3k each. It will just take a market. ie. Group Buy of probably 20... but if there is a market for HP junkies they will build it.

Nothing as addicting as HP...

OK, true we have our issues like all manufacturers and I appreciate constructive advice from all sources so welcome aboard. You may want to change your icon though because a wolf is sheep's clothing would lead me to believe you had other than good intentions. Also I have no brand bias and owned a Ford F150 back in 04 before I got my 05 Titan. The Ford was OK for a work truck but no fun at the track. If I wanted to go super fast in a truck I would buy a diesel anyway. Sorry if I had you all wrong, I just don't like to waste my Internet time fighting over who's truck is best but with all it's troubles I will take my Titan over the F150 any day. Titan got it right, big engine base model King Cab with 4 seats at 16500.00.

What do you mean? this truck wasn't engineered to be blown. You are comparing apples and oranges dude. Titan tranny can hold 90 more Hp of NOS just just not a blower. U have a heavy duty tranny that comes in your truck cause it comes blown from the factory quit talkin ****! Throw a Eaton MP112 blower @ 6 psi on a plain jane f-150 and you will smoke that tranny also. I have pictures!
