I tried for 4 hours to reach a technical support person on the Bully Dog website. No luck so I searched on here and still havent found exactly what I need.

First off, A guy here locally is selling a PowerPup that he had on a earlier Titan. Can I update this for 2011? (cost?)
The website still shows nothing for 2011.

From what I have read the only difference between the BDPP and the GT is that the GT allows you to monitor everything. Is that correct?
I already have a innovate motorsport unit that can monitor parameters.

It looks like the GT is more permanent. Can you just load a tune then take it out...or does it need to be connected at all times? For about the same price you can get the uprev...but I don't have any mods so it doesnt seem worth it to me.

Sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything really about the 2011 in a search.

I have the GT on my '11. As long as you download the latest files from the BG web site they tell me it will work fine, which it did for me.

You can load the GT tune and then take the unit out. The GT has a couple more functions than the pup as far as tunes go, and the monitoring of course.

I don't think the Power pup is compatable with a 2011 TITAN.

What other functions?

I don't think the Power pup is compatable with a 2011 TITAN.
I wonder why. If they have the GT ready for it, it seems like it would be pretty easy to get the PP to work with it.

I'll try to get in contact with them again. IF someone finally answers me...hopefully they know what they are talking about..

I know timing advance is one of them, and I would only be guessing at the others, but I believe idle speed adjustment is another.

I just went onto the bullydog website and they don't seem to have the power pup anymore... just the GT, and the GT is compatible with Titans 05-11.. So that could explain why the power pup will not work for the 2011 Titans.

Yep, Finally got a tech person. PP is discontinued so no updates anymore.

That sucks, I guess no one makes a $200-300 programmer anymore. No love for 2011's.

Hypertech have one that removes WOT?

#11 ·
Yea hypertech will remove WOT..

#13 ·
Just checked out the hypertech. Around $350....so its not really that great of a deal. Especially since used bdgt go for less.

kwelkarim - You selling a used model? I'm not sure if im ready to pull the trigger quite yet, but when I do i'll let you know. Hopefully its soon, but if you get another offer dont hold it for me.

I bought the gt triple dog for $355 at autoanything two days ago. I hope it works well as I almost went for the cortex. Hope im not disapointed. How do yall like the BD?

Why add the (SE) in your sig? It's not an SE, it's an SV. ;)

#19 ·
But it isn't an SE, so you might as well put Z71 there because people know what that is too. :)

#21 ·
If it was the same it wouldn't be an SV, it would still be an SE. You kinda missed my point.

#23 ·
My point is nobody knew what an SE was when they first came out but they learned. I am aware of the trim levels, but calling it an SE just going to confuse people. And there are differences between the SV and SE models.

#25 ·
No, I'll let you figure them out. :D

I ordered one from Advance auto. $405.... at checkout use the code P20. That will get you $80 off. Local taxes raised it to $351 delivered. Just got it yesterday. Updated first and then plugged it in. worked like a charm.

I did the 93 tune with 93 fuel. +2 and took it for a spin. I was expecting a whole lot more. Changed it to the +3 and went to bed. Did not drive it today, yes I was that disappointed....

To change the timing, I had to have the truck on at 180 temp and above.

I have a 2011 CC 4X4 FFV with a 22" magnaflow mufler replacement. Airbox mod with stock air filter. Next is a CAI, not sure which one to get, most websites don't cover 2011's.

Are there any settings I'm missing on the BDGT?
speed 180
93 tune w 93 fuel in tank
WOT is off
2 degree ( changed to 3 but have not tested )

or it is the crappy air filter.

I was expecting to turn off vdc and roast the tires from a standstill, at least 20 feet long.... I only got about six feet.

The biggest difference most people see with the BDGT is the removal of the WOT restriction. Make sure that you have disabled the WOT restriction. I know that you can set it to On, Off and Disabled. Try the disabled setting.

With that in mind, the 2wd Titans benefit most from removal of the WOT restriction. We don't get WOT until around 40mph.

4wd Titans get WOT much sooner, around 15mph. So you won't experience the same night and day difference that others see.

My truck seemed to run better on the 87 tune +1 as opposed to the 93 tune.

The other thing I would change is throttle sensitivity. I recommend the performance setting. Makes part throttle driving a lot more fun.
