Anyone know of a good screen protector for the nav screen on the 20’ up Titans..

Starting to get some scratches on the shiny plastic screen...

My 2020 scree is all scratched up now after 8 months. I aint tripping about it though. Maybe it could get covered under warrant like my 07 G35 that came with crappy paint on the interior door panels and steering wheel. Entire steering wheel got replaced under warranty because the paint peeled off if you LOOK at it too long lol

I have one of the small sized California Dusters just for the interior, it’s great on the dash and zero scratches on the plastics. You apply no pressure just let the strands hang and slide across.

At least the updated nissan's have the capacitive screen and not the cheap feeling/looking resistive screen. I think the new Rogue's have been updated, Maxima's, Titan's, Armada's. The solid feel of the new screen is much nicer. You can spend twice as much and have the same interface. And anyway, what would happen to the screen protector industry if screens actually survived hard use? Those manufacturers gotta make $$ too...

Is the screen blotchy when off and looking across it? If it is they shouldn’t do anything other than look at it and order a new one. I wouldn’t make an appointment to show them all they have to do is look at it.

Yes, the screen is a bit of an issue. It looks great, but some sort of protector, or even a "cloth" that comes with the truck to give you a heads up it scratches easy would be great. I made the mistake of one quick cleaning early on with a paper towel and it did leave a few scratches (and I'm bummed). Not horrid, saw it immediately and learned my lesson. But while I love the screen, I do wish I had known!

How long have you had your truck? I bought mine 7/31 and the other truck I looked at was about as bad as yours when I looked in the window and it already had the Nissan mandated stop sale applied to it which was the middle of July. A simple call to corporate from the dealership works wonders.

i saw a youtube review of a 2020 Titan and the guy reviewing it mentioned the screen delaminating. He said Nissan was claiming it had to do with the testers using antiseptic wipes on the interior due to covid.

Unable to locate the video now of course.

I do know the screen in my wifes 2016 Rogue didnt take kindly to paper towels.

Interesting excuse that that dealer used. My son works for Tesla and they sanitize those cars between test drives and he said the sanitizer does nothing damaging to the interiors at all.
The Titans with stop sale orders were new stock not demos.

Well I hope that’s not the case. I’ve owned nothing but Nissans for the last several years and I’ve not experienced anything like this with a screen, however I am sure they switch out manufacturers so maybe it was just a bad batch. I just wish the resolution on the cameras was a little better. Chevy has a damn near HD camera on their new stuff. 😄

Because it's under warranty and I can hand it back in August. I can either buy the same or get something different.

I only fault products if they have problems. Unlike you and some others when I spend $40-$50k on a car I expect better and I don't just brush it off and say "they all have issues" as if that makes it right.

And Really? Spend $50k on a truck and its ok that the touch screen is delaminating and it's ok that engines have to be replaced?! What is this alternate reality that you live in?

Other vehicle in the household is a 2016 4runner. Zero issues with it in 83,000 miles.

Nobody told you or anyone to pound sand over a radio screen or other legitimate failure.
The engines are a big concern, I surely wouldn’t be happy but if they’re replacing them that too isn’t a problem.
If I was as displeased as you appear to be I would have already bailed on the truck.
It’s a lease, you’re renting the truck so that should make you that much more indifferent about it. It is a fact that each brand of any model vehicle has its own issues, it’s not an excuse, it’s just a fact.

When vehicles have problems we get inconvenienced by something we shouldn't have to be inconvenienced by. Its an hour round trip for me to the dealer. So when something goes wrong I have to take time off work to get a vehicle fixed. Time that I shouldn't have to take off such as I had to do when my engine was replaced at 15,000 miles.

Currently it has the whistling gas tank issue and there is something bad rattling coming out of the front suspension when going over bumps. But I'm not taking anymore time out of my day at this point to have it checked out. I can turn it in in August and it can be someone else's problem.

At that time I will either get another Titan if I feel they have worked out the issues or I will go Toyota. A brand that has never given me trouble on past vehicles of theirs that I have owned.

If you were burned twice by Nissan, like I have been with my 2004 Titan and my 2018 Titan, I guarantee you would have different viewpoint.

Are your hands really dry? I find that if mine have had any cream or moisture it responds instantly, if not I can tap for an eternity.

I have purchased my 2020 Titan ProX4, on 12/26/2020. an d not even a good six months my screen lamination started peeling. I took it to the dealership where I purchased it and was told that Nissan Warranty Department will not cover it, because they said it appears that harsh chemicals was used. Even when I informed them that there were no harsh chemicals utilized. I then talked to Nissan Consumer Affairs Department (WHICH IS THERE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT) and brought up a claim only to be told the same. So below is what I wrote back to them.

To whom it may concern,

I have purchased a 2020 Nissan Titan ProX4 on 12/26/2020. I have not had the vehicle over 6 months and paid over $50,000.00.

My Infotainment Screen Lamination is peeling. I took it to the dealership where I purchased the vehicle and had informed them that I did not utilize any harsh chemicals.

They have informed me that Nissan Warranty will ont cover this due to the appearance of harsh chemicals.
I then brought this matter up with Nissan Consumer Affairs and have been told the same.

I have informed both Nissan Dealership and Nissan Consumer Affairs that this is an issue with the 2020 Titan Infotainment Center Screens. Below is the link to that information.

I do not understand how someone comes up with a determination that I used harsh chemicals, especially when their determination states "it appears".

I am very dissatisfied with Nissan as a Company and will never purchase another vehicle from Nissan. Moreover, I will inform anyone that I know that might be looking to purchase a vehicle from Nissan not to waste their time. It appears that they do not honor their Warranties.

What you paid for the vehicle is irrelevant. Don't bash the brand at this point, that's ignorant. I'm sure you run in some very influential circles but don't waste your time deterring others. I don't think it's a wide-spread issue which tells me they should replace the unit. Stay on them and get them to fix it, then go enjoy the truck.

How about tell the dealer that there was a stop sale on all Titans last year until this was corrected across the model line, it was a manufacturers defect. Call corporate and remind them as well. When I was looking for my truck last June/July a few dealers said the car isn’t accounted for but they can’t let me take it until the screen or radio was replaced.
is your screen all blotchy?

I just ordered this…

I don’t know how good it is, but for under $25 I’m going to give it a try! Has a bunch of different options as far as finish, touch etc. I will write up a review of this product for others!
