4LO light flashing

This started yesterday. While driving, the 4LO light flashes and the picture of the wheels that indicates if you are in 4x4 goes away. It only flashes once or twice then goes back to normal. I noticed this morning that the ATP light came on when I turned the key but didn't start the engine. Turn the key off then back on, and the ATP light doesn't come on! When the engine is started, the ATP light goes away. The 4LO flashing seems to happen whenever it pleases. No rhyme or reason when it happens. I haven't used 4x4 since March. Is this similar to what happens in the TSB that is on the Nissan web site? They mention the 4LO light flashes in all 4WD modes, but my truck is in 2WD. Doesn't seem to effect the way it drives or anything else. Any thoughts?? I guess I'll go to the dealer at lunch and see what they have to say.

I believe so... it's on the transfer case by the front propeller shaft.

Mine was replaced when I had a seal go bad and it soaked the switch in gear oil. My truck used to take it's sweet time coming out of 4wd. Since the switch was replaced, it slips right back in to 2wd when I want it to. (not 15 miles down the road).

Simple replacement, but there's some harness work to be done at the same time.

bestatchess... priceless!

I called my dealer and they had said that there is two four wheel drive switches on the 04 Titan 4WD. They also said that the transfer case may be the issue. I'm thinking about ordering and replacing both seeing how the truck works fine in four and two wheel drive. Does anybody know how hard the switches are to put in? Can a regular mechanic do it; or does it have to be done at the dealer? I live far away from the dealer is why I'm asking.
