Thoughts on oem vs liqui moly. How many quarts should I get? Ive seen anywhere from 4-6 and the cost of the oem fluid for the 9 speed is crazy expensive. I will pay for it if need be just want some opinions on using one or the other.

Yeah it does muddy them more but I appreciate the info. Im leaning toward either the BG or liqui moly 1800. I know a shop that could get me the bg fluid so I will check into that alternative.
What it interesting to me is on that thread you sent it had liqui moly 1800R which I hadnt seen before. So now Im wondering what is the difference between 1800R and regular 1800. Both are matic p compatible fluid. I swear these guys do this **** just to confuse the consumer.
Ok so I contacted liqui moly for info. The R only stands for red dye and is the same formulation. It only comes in larger quantities. So no difference at all
Ordered 6 liters of liqui moly 1800 for 15 bucks each. Just couldn’t bring myself to spend 30 bucks a quart for oem. Doing the new pan and filters along with transfer case, front and rear diffs. For the diffs I went with Amsoil and the transfer case will be oem D3M fluid.
I use the valvoline full syn for diffs. Fluid looks brand new every 15-20k. I think those intervals are a little too close together. A 30-40k would make more sense.
