A/C and Heater not blowing hard

I've done some searching and have found nothing on this problem except other problems that i don't believe is the same as what I'm experiencing.

anyway the speed control on my dial at full bore seems to only be around half. this is on AC and heat. had to test heat today due to cold weather quickly coming into colorado already this year.

could it be as simple as pulling the dial off and fixing something behind it or maybe rotating it while off then put it back on or something? it's driving me crazy cause i can just tell she's not pushing out as much air as it has in the past.

it's an 06 by the way.

thanks all!

had the same problem like 2 weeks ago. posted the problem but no one had any solutions. It was doing the exact same thing yours is doing, A/C is still cold and works harder when you turn it up, but doesnt blow out more air like it's supposed to.

You're prolly going to be pissed when you read this. I was going to take it in to the stealership, but it started working all of a sudden. It would work one day, but not another. back and forth for a week or so. NOW, it works perfect. It fixed itself...I don't know why considering i didn't do anything.

I do have this problem too.. but I'd check your cabin filter behind the glove box if you have one... Only I don't have one :x

mine's an XE so I didn't have any cabin filters either

mine didnt blow very hard when i got my truck. i heard about the filters so i figured what the hey.. ill check it out. pulled them out and there was a big piece of what looked like sticky back foam laying on top of them. i think it was some sort of insulation from the air vent housing. pulled that crap out, banged the filters out and blew them out with an air chuck. stuck them back in and it blows like new now!

thanks guys i'll see if i have a filter. i would hope so. my dealer picked my truck up from a dealer up north of me (which was a demo) and said they've never seen an SE so loaded. only options it's missing that i can think of is: leather, nav, and motorized mirror flip in and out. so I'll cross my fingers I've got the filter otherwise i'll wait for the "fix it it's self" deal. I'm now out of warranty so I'd hate to know what the $tealership would say it would cost.

thanks all! i'll post back once i check the filter out.

bump for some results

You have to pull the glove box completely out to get to the filters. Once you remove the glove box you will be able to access the filters.

I changed my filters, i think I will try to pull down the blower motor and make sure there is nothing obstructing the flow.

Looks like there are a couple of doors to try and troubleshoot, I would try and find the inlet door first......lol

once you get into the filter area, make sure the foam pad that is glued above them isnt sucked into the bottom opening for the ac flow. that pad is knowned to be the culprit sometimes.

So I have a similar but not exact problem. I was cruising around the sand dunes here in Oregon and my air control knob only has "off" and "100 mph". Basically if I turn my knob to the first position, it blows like it is full on. Heater and AC still work but on a 75 degree day the AC can be a little overwhelming at full on. Any suggestions? Sounds like its going to be that 190 dollar part!

If you don't have filters it's probably the control module. My '06 SE 4x4 has had nothing but AC/Heater problems - typically with the control module. Nissan extended my warranty but its in the shop every single year.

No heat - dealer didn't know there was 2nd thermostat and broke lots of other things experimenting.
Fan speed would switch itself to "high" regardless of where the dial was, typically started at highway speed.
Temp all or nothing. Dial all the way cold was cold, one notch up was full heat.
Dead spot in temp control. Cold was cold but wouldn't change until mid-point between cold and hot (warm). Same from warm to full cold, no change until last notch was reached.
AC stuck on. Pushed the button to turn off the AC, light would go out, still blowing AC. Everything else worked fine. Again had to replace the control modulte.

Not sure I'll buy another Titan as this was my first Nissan.

Mine is doing the same crap. Replaced 3 of 4 actuators (not recirculate one as it’s easy to see it working perfectly normal), blower resistor, blower, and cabin filters.

Checked harnesses on back of climate controls using DMM as instructed in service manual (MTC - Manual A/C Section). All seemed to be just about right except for the unspecified ‘sensor’ pin. Supposed to be 0-5v and couldn’t get a reading despite switching all controls while metering.

Only other discrepancy was first several that say clockwise gets battery voltage counterclockwise gets 0v or vice versa were all opposite of what’s listed.

Not sure which sensor this is relating to though? Sun sensor? Ambient air sensor? Intake sensor? I’ve also checked functionality in all relays ( all working properly) and checked all fuses in all 3 locations.

It also may be worth mentioning mine is 05 KC SE and has manual A/C controls BUT it takes the auto controls style resistor so not sure why or what that could indicate either.

Any help would be very appreciated.
