9. why would you put a Dana 44 in a truck with a 9,500 lb. tow rating?

I thought that was rather stupid as well

We are saying a Dana 44 is a little underrated for the size of the truck and the advertised capacities. A 60 would have been a better choice. Even a 14 bolt or a 10inch would have been nice.

On the other hand I guess we should be glad its not a 10 bolt with a gov lock, I grenaded a lot of ring gears in mine.

I agree the 4 is a much better choice than a 10 bolt and a 9 inch would have been better, or maybe a 12 bolt. If only Dana made something between the 44 and the 60.

BTW I had a 60 in my 3/4 dodge which basically had the same capacity and tow ratings as the titan.
