Has anybody tried the beads in 35" tires?

Something like these: Tire Balancing Products

There seem to be mixed reviews. They sound like a good idea, just wondering if any Titan guys used them.

If you go to the Tire Charts section, it will tell you how much you need for your tire size. Then go to the pricing area and it will give you an idea of how much 4 (or 5) tires will cost.

I've used these when I had my Frontier (285/75/16) and they do help. My Gixxer is also balanced with Dyna Beads as well. When I get Duratracs for my T in the next month or two, I plan on going with Dyna Beads as well. Not sure if my local Discount Tire has dealt with Dyna Beads.

Thanks for the comments panman.

I've been researching these things and it looks like most people have pretty good luck with them. The ones having trouble are mostly using Interco tires and needing more than 8oz of weights for balance.

The pirate4x4 guys suggested using air soft ammo instead of dyna beads. I think I'll spring for the beads especially if I don't need to break the tire down to install.

Now I need to check out the extra TPMS I have to see if I can pour the beads through them.

Hmm...you bring up a good point. I removed my TPMS on my Frontier when I swapped to 33s. Let me know what you find out with the TPMS. That'll affect me since I'm not planning on removing TPMS from the Titan.

Any updates on these? How well do they work? Will they fit through the TPMS valve stems? Thanks for any info.

I plan on running them when I switch tires this summer. They offer two styles of beads: the small which are the size of sprinkles for cookies/cakes/etc, and then some larger ones that are designed for aggressive/offroad tires. The larger beads have to be installed when the tire is being mounted because they are too big to fit through the valve stem. They also tend to "clump" less if they would happen to get excessive moisture in the tire.

Both sizes function the same and you can use either size - just need to get the proper amount (oz.) for your tire size.

The smaller beads can be installed through the valve stem UNLESS you have TPMS. If you have TPMS you will have to break a bead and pour them in.

Here's a good demonstration of how well they work.

any updates?

I have 305/60-18 on at present and I do believe stock is a 275/70-18

I do not see an application for these sizes...
