Anyone NOT have problems?

Hello again. I am still looking around for my next vehicle and stop by often to read up on the Titan stuff. Out of curiosity, does anyone out there NOT have problems with their Titan? Reading through the posts here paints a fairly dismal view of their reliability in the 1st 6 mos.

The most serious problems seem to be:

Differential failure, which appears to be a QC issue.
Radio - an accessory problem, doesn't affect truck performance
Transmission clunk - who knows???
Brakes - something they have a fix for.

I for one have had no problems. I have two minor issues, one dash rattle and one center console squeak. These are intermitent and not that loud. At this point I consider useless to bring them up to the dealer as they only occur on rough roads and are near impossible to replicate in the city.

3,500 miles and no problems !!!!!!
I drive 100 miles a day to and from Chicago on some of the worst roads
in Illinois.

I LOVE MY TITAN !!!!!!!

Yes, there are plenty of people here who own "problem free" titans. Mile after happy mile without a squeak, rattle, or mechanical issue of any sort. I myself am not one of those people, but only because I don't own my titan yet!

Grizzly, look man, if you sit around waiting for the PERFECT car/truck to come out that is 100% mechanically sound 100% of the time, you're gonna be waiting a long time! Every vehicle on te road is prone to it's own little glitches! I can however, understand the desire to wait until the second model year to let Nissan work out any existing bugs. I have done that myself in the past. But to be fair, first model year cars can be just as reliable as anything else. I purchased a 2001 PT cruiser when they were first released, and put 50,000 miles on it with just one complaint! The passenger seat didn't have a folding armrest like the drivers seat did. Pretty minor gripe!

No Problems

I have a KC 4x4 without big tow or off road packages, power captains and the Rockford Fosgate stereo. I added a flush mount fiberglass bed cover, fog lights, and trailer hitch. I had the side windows tinted to the maximum legal limit. I have 5,400 miles to date since February 14. I have absolutely NONE of the problems shown on this site. No squeaks, rattles, or pops from the body. No 4x4 switch problems, no rear end noise, no transmission problems. No radio problems, the CD is slightly louder than the radio, but that isn't an issue with me. I average 16 MPG daily driving, and this past weekend averaged just over 17.5 highway, cruise control at 75. I have pulled my 4,000 pound boat with no problems in 4th gear, and got right at 14 MPG. I did need to add about 8 ounces of oil to my rear diff, due to a suggestion to check it from this site. I think there are 3,375 or so members here, and I would bet less than half have had any problems with their trucks. Out of 20,000 sold, more or less, I think that is a good average for a first year vehicle. Expect for a very few people, I don't think there have been any major problems causing anyone to get stranded on the highway. My only concern is there doesn't seem to be many Titans on the road in the Cincinnati area. Busam Nissan in Northern Cincinnati is now offering the 7 year/100,000 gold warranty as standard with every truck sold. Seems like there are quite a few on the lots here, but few on the streets. I would hate to see this truck not advance and continue due to lack of interest.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with this truck. I have had Toyota and Chevrolet in the past, and none compare to the ride quality, quiet cabin, lack of wind noise, and steering feel the Titan has. I would recommend this truck to anyone who asks. I am sure there will be a few that have some problem, because the parts are coming from all over the country, and Murphy's Law always makes sure a few bad things happen, especially in manufacturing. I understand there are some dealers that have no clue, and thus leave a very bad impression on some owners when they do need something fixed. Forums generally are used by people looking for an answer to their problems, so it would appear there are a lot of problems, when in reality there are only a few.

No problems here man. 13k and she's running like Day 1. Radio works like a dream, Diff. fluid is ok, brakes are fine, tranny is fine, i could go on and on about how great my Titan is.
Remember too that the Titan owners on this forum represent only a small portion of the whole population of Titan owners in general.

No problems.. & I use it. 1 full ton of Palmetto SOD just the other day. 6,000 miles no shakes, rattles, radio problems… nothing. I am 100% happy. After reading some of the problems here sometimes I feel like what did I just get the absolutely perfect 1. In what 8,000?
Truth be told, you have a problem you want it fixed, your frustrated thus the posting…
It’s not like other 100% perfect model owners feel like checking in & saying …“day 98 & all is well”.
But, I‘ll start…

“Day 107... & All Is Well”

Nothing unexpected here. 3 weeks and 1100 miles. Some of that pulling 2000 pound hay bales out of fields (wish I would have bought 4 wheel drive for that though).

The only issue has been the radio (FM and CD). Volume seems to be tied to the accelerator. When I go below 40 mph, the volume ratchests down (and again at 20). As I speed up, it does the opposite.

Have a KC 4x2, with Big Tow, Fosgate stereo, and utility bed kit (which is very, very nice - have used this a lot).

It is suppose to do that. Check your manual. It is easy to turn off.

No real problems here! 1200 miles and the mileage is creeping up. Mostly city driving at the moment.

I get the occasional squeek out of the gauge bezel, but that is it. My diff fluid levels were fine, the tires were overinflated, but I took care of that.

I'd do it over and over and over again. This truck just commands attention! Was at work the other day and noticed a guy pull up next to the Titan in his older F150. He gets out and does the walkaround twice... almost wanted to go out and wipe the drool off of his chin. He had serious truck envy.

Griz,

I have no real problems, and have 10,000 miles on my truck. It gets hard, hard use when towing and the RF stereo works great. Its sound is linear, different than the 'better' stereo in my last two trucks. Yeah, the brakes are some concern, but hey, Nissan listens, and they WANT to fix it to have happy customers!

I fully expect that a fix will be done, soon.

Try that with Ford! :fight:
I had a problem with the stupid clock in mine, the dealer wouldn't replace it because I was 200 miles over the warranty. Not to mention the rips in the upholstery. Arbritaration? Sure... just a year later I finally got an appointment. Screws falling out of everything everywhere... not going back, thanks.

Sorry for the venting, but you're here for opinions, and this one is worth what you paid for it. :)

I have 12000 plus miles and I have had no problems. It is a great truck. I tow and haul heavy loads and the truck has handled everything I have asked it to do better than any truck like it that I have owned.

9,000 miles and no problems that could not be fixed by the dealer so far. If I was to have any problems, I am sure they would have turned up already so I am very very satisfied with this truck.

No problems with acceleration, braking, turning, hauling, idling, climate control, seats, storage, radio or anything else I missed. I have absolutely no complaints with my Titan and would buy another one if I needed it.

2000 miles and no problems to report, other than a squeakie dash once in a while. So far love it!

I've had no problems to date. I corrected the RF radio problem by adding the Sirius satellite radio - great sound now; besides who wants to listen to all those goofy FM commercials?

I swear I get more looks in the Titan than I do in my 2002 Corvette and people of all walks are either complimenting or asking questions about it.

And yes, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

uhhhhhhhh..... huh huh..... yeah, I have like 62 miles and NO PROBLEMS YET!!! The first 50 were the best though :)

Lovin' it thus far! Taking it in to the exhaust shop to see what dual system works best. Volant Intake is on the way with cool-air snake.
