My name is Jude from Lafayette La. I my search for a quicker 0-60 time I had a tru trac installed in my 2012 Titan. My times went from 6.2 to 6.9 after tru trac Has anyone heard of this?

That makes sense. The added torque of the tru trac could be making the leak bigger under acceleration throwing things off. I did use the Nissan gaskets thanks to Jeff at Cajun. My biggest problem right now is finding someone to properly tighten the headers as I am disabled. The last shop I brought it to just listened for a leak and said it had none. They did not care.

After you install headers, torque them down to spec and make sure you used OEM metal header gaskets. Also after the first torquing, go drive her and do some heat and cool down cycles since metal expands and shrinks. Then check the header bolts again at the cylinder head and Bpipe flanges. Re torque if necessary.

The Weapon X coil thread is further down in this very forum. scroll about 2/3 down.

I heard those Weapon X coils were junk. That was probably not helping. Read it in this forum actually. The site member that does the truck pulls tried them. You may have an exhaust leak, it just might not leak sitting at idle. The leak I had 2 years ago that caused a headache of an SES issue would only leak at a flange under acceleration. The torque of the motor on the exhaust system would crack a gap just enough to throw the light and you'd hear a slight leak.

What signs in the log kook like an exhaust leak? Maybe I can check it after another try at finding it. I will have to bring it to another shop just to make sure. I am not happy with what the last shop did which is nothing I think. Hard to find people who are willing to break a sweat. Rechecking the headers seems like a good idea not matter what.

Although I've never used the Weapon X coils, I haven't heard anything good come from them.

Temperature plays a HUGE role in how much power you can make. Remember colder air is more dense, meaning more air per cycle. More air and more fuel equates to more power as long as you can advance enough.

Easiest way to find a leak is wait till the sun starts to set and start the truck up cold, use a flashlight and see if you see puffs of smoke. The cooling fan is going to be the only problem you run into as it might dissipate the smoke. You should be able to hear it though.

Sorry Joe I did have the exhaust system looked at. They reported no leaks. That does not mean none are there. They did not bust their a// looking. Removed the aftermarket weapon x coils and whet back to stock. Took the truck out for a run and it felt strong running a 6.7. It did not bog and the throttle response seemed good. Maybe it is too damn hot to run anyfaster right now. Outside temp read 103 deg. Do you think that is hot enough to have a large affect on performance? I would have bet money it was the fastest the truck ever ran!

The throttle voltage is perfectly normal, the WOT restriction is definitely off. Your truck has been tuned for a while and the throttle was fine before the install... installing a trutrac is not going to change how the electronic throttle behaves. As I mentioned in my email last week (haven't heard back btw) I think you have an exhaust leak.. I would look into that as well.

I don't remember. What told me that the WOT restriction was still in place was that the voltage changed at around 12 MPH for me since my Titan is 4x4. I think the 4x2 changes at a higher MPH, maybe 40.

Have you confirmed that your WOT restriction has been removed? I asked for mine to be removed but it was still enabled in my tunes.

It does not whine. I have not been to the track I use a G tech race timer. I made one run today that felt o k that was a 6.7. but when I tried again on the same road same time it felt like the throttle restriction was on and it did 7.0. I now think the rear end is o k but the throttle never opens the same. It is upreved tuned but it never acts the same twice.

Measuring 0-60 times is inconsistent, too many variables. Unless you do it in the same location, same weight, and similar weather, etc. It was most likely the weather, was the slower time in warmer weather? Have you run it at the track?

I am 2wd. Would it whine if the backlash was too tight?
Yes, it'll whine if the backlash is off. It shouldn't make any noise.
