HI,
Ok, i was told that the bakflip would fit no problem with the factory bedliner. I got the G2 bakflip and found that the factory bedliner does hit the rails and needed to be cut.
I had to dremel off about 1 inch off the tips that lip over and catch the bed lip.
Here you can see the cut bedliner tips:
I also thought i would provide the dimensions of where exactly to drill into the bed liner to route the drain tubes: Measurement from first bolt (closest to cab)
I guessed based off of other pics posted I saw and luckily got so close that I was able to pull the step drill bit to nearly exactly center...:eyebrow:
I just continued drilling into the metal existing hole opening it up just enough.
I used a step drill bit from harbor freight and drilled out the existing hole in the bed to 7/8" and that let the tubes fit snug - had to semi force the tube through, which was good, cause it held the tube in place and didn't flex back out.....
You can see the step drill bit I used here:
Drain hose routed:
Done:
Impressions:
1. Bakflip packaging was top notch. they use bagged spray foam that cures and molds to every inch so my worries of shipping damage was for nothing.
2. Wasn't happy having to cut my bed liner - especially when i was told i wouldn't need to - either way, i plan on doing lineX or Rhino later down the road.
3. Wasn't happy with the provided instructions, as they were general instructions showing a Chevy......If there truly is a way to install this thing with out cutting my bed liner their shii tty instructions didn't explain it on a "TITAN"
4. seals and build quality look great.
5. cable pulls and mechanisms work well.
6. Overal happy with the bakflip for now, will use the hell outta it and report back later.
