Bilsteins and leveling kit...bad CB contact

I have a question for all of you experienced Titan owners! I have a 12 pro4x and had a 2 inch leveling kit and 5100s on the lowest perch. Well I decided to crank them up to the next perch and didn't think about my CB contact until I finished the sob up. Now that they're sitting on or right at the CBs while it's on the ground! I haven't driven it yet to see what it'll do but I need advice! New upper control arms? That's the only think I can figure...::crying::

I have the same truck. Pro4x 2012. I personally removed the spacer all together. I had the 2 inch and downgraded to 1.5 I have Dirt king UCAs and still had contact, and if I adjusted them to not have contact, the alignment would not be in spec. The ride is better with out the spacer anyway. I'd say the other options are set the Bilsteins on the top setting w/o the spacer resulting in a stiff ride, or upgrade to coilovers. Everyone's truck seems to be different though.

I have DK arms, a 1.5" spacer and Billies on middle setting, plenty of clearance, think the ride is just fine. But anyway, if you are going any higher than 1.5", typically your going to need aftermarket UCA's not avoid having CBC. I would also suggest an alignment after any suspension work. Not cheap going through $1400 worth of tires due to a bad alignment.

^^ this , an more clearance.

Fishnalaska your 4x4 right? I tried running exactly that for a while but my alignment was maxed and couldn't get in spec. Thanks to my many attempts at a level, I chewed through my bfg kos in 30k miles.

I'm running pretty much exactly the same as Fishn. Had CBC until I got my DK's and haven't touched with them yet.

2" spacer, Bilsteins on middle perch, DK bushing UCA's. On a side note, my spindles contact the UCA at full droop whenever I jack the truck up. Haven't heard any noises or felt anything while driving, but I may shave down the spindle just a bit to get rid of that.

Yea it seems like DKs will be the best bet, maybe RCs if I'm in a money pinch But I got anew camber set and alignment today and it's sitting about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch from the coil buckets. I'm slightly tapping the coil bucket on rough bumps on the road or if I hit a speed bump too hard.... It'll be okay for now I guess!

If you have the cash there's a thread on here with heimed DK UCA's for $400. That's a helluva deal considering the bushing UCA's (not as good) are $500+.

I got my DK bushing arms for a bit under $500, depends on what special they are running. Depending on the purpose, the bushing ones can be superior to the heimed ones. If you want articulation heimed ones are superior, but if you want and arm that gives you clearance, superior quality to OEM (and RC), but has a sealed ball joint to protect against the elements, the bushing ones are superior, that is why I went with them. Too much snow, ice = salty roads which can lead to lots of rust on unprotected surfaces and premature wear. For me the bushing DK's were the better choice.

There are heim joints that last, it's just the FK's are junk. Not sure what DK uses but that's what my PRG came with.

FK heims can be good, if you buy the good ones.

FK doesn't just sell one type of heim, Im pretty sure they sell 4 or 5 different ones. Their JMX series is a very good heim.

Granted, there are better brands out there (Aurora namely) But they are SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive! (Almost 3x the cost in some cases....)

Yea the heims I got from Greg are junk

PRG are the original arms, don't think you'll get anything "better", just same same.

I couldn't get the arms for sale on TT so I called Nick and got some bushing DKs, I kept the 5100s on the middle perch and have the sway bar off and I love the ride! I feel it would be a bit better with sway aways but either way it's awesome jumping curbs ? Thanks for the input fellas!
