I don't have the P/N for the heaters but live on Eielson AFB. Most folks have the base Service Station winterize their vehicles with heating pads that are siliconed on the oil pan, tranny and placed under the batteries. My Titan came winterized from the dealer but our Frontier was winterized this way and always started even when kept outside at -40. Luckily your temps wont go down this far but having the heater pads installed is the way to go.

My recommedation is to make an appointment at the Service Station as soon as you arrive and have it done there.

A bigger issue is to ensure ALL your vehicle fluids are winterized. The oil, tranny, brake and power steering fluids should all be synthetic. A Titan on base lost it's power steering pump to frozen fluid and the result was not good.

Even though it only goes down to the single digits here occasionally in the winter time, I wouldn't mind having a black heater just because cold starts are so hard on engines. I have a 4 banger Toyota that has piston slap when it gets down into the teens. Its a common thing with that engine, but its still a bit alarming to hear!
