This is easily one of the most awesome additions I have done for my Titan - if you're like me and are sick of beating up your gears & deraileurs from laying your bikes down in the bed, and don't have the Utilitrac, you gotta check this out! Best of all, it's cheap and quick! Took me maybe an hour tops to cut and assemble. My Home Depot bill was right around $25 - I had a couple extra rattle cans of paint laying around from my bumper and decided to give it a quick matching paint job.

I can't take credit for the design, I found the directions on my mountain biking forum: HOME-MADE BIKE RACK

I set mine up at the back of the bed so that on long trips I can leave my Bakflip cover folded down one so I can see out of the back window, and it also leaves a covered section at the front of the bed to store camping stuff/cooler/etc. Works great as a bike rack out of the truck as well!

When I bought mine two years ago they were about $18. The price hsa gone up now they are about $22 on the internet. Google Thule 821.

It is always more fun to make what you want than buy a ready made solution.

I just took the Thule bracket and mounted to the angled part of the front of the bed so it always there, out of the way if I haul something else, and I don't have to keep removing stuff from my bed or have extra stuff laying around. I've done this to every truck I've owned. And if I sell the truck, I fill the holes with black silicone due to it being non structural.
