I asked my dealer to perform the same tsb to solve the engine tick problem (and no, its not the problem fixed by a ground wire). They told me that the tsb did not actually solve the problem. The service manager told me that they had isolated the problem to a specific part, had removed the part and the noice immediately went away (I forget which part they were referring to). They said Nissan is aware of the problem and had not issued a new tsb to solve it. Infact, my service visit receipt even says that they are awaiting a new fix from Nissan and that the requested tsb is ineffective.
If your noise is the same as mine (clicking sound coming from the center of the engine, heard mainly at idle and after the engine is warmed up, does not increase with rpms) and is actually fixed, I may press my dealer to do the tsb anyway.
