Based on the Window Stickers. 2023's show 15 City / 20 Highway / 17 Combined
2024's show 14 City / 20 Highway / 16 Combined

Did they change something in the truck or did the EPA change how ratings are calculated?

The EPA can change it's calculations, which can retroactively apply to a previously established rating.
I find it fairly unlikely that Nissan re-tested the 2024, seeing as it is a dead man walking. Likely the EPA revised something.

I also think 14 in town is much more accurate than 15, and 20 on highway is easily doable on these trucks, I can get 22-24mpg on road trips, entire tank hand-calculated. But my city is never much better than 14mpg.

i agree 14 is more accurate for in town. and highway, the same. i have seen 16 on the highway and 24 on the highway, depending on wind, traffic, and speeds

I was getting around 16-17mpg before lift/20”wheels/295-60s. Now getting about 15mpg. Thought it’ll be worse LOL
