Freeing up the exhaust sure will help but are you sure the wot restriction is off? Some guys reported that the super chips didn't remove the wot on their titans. Pm me when ready for the Cajuns..

 

 

All you need is a 4" CAI, headers, Uprev and weight reduction to beat him! Your a 4x4 so launch in 4wd on the street but don't make any turns in 4wd, turn it off before you do. At the track it might be a different story but I think you'd still get him as long as it's stock. LOL I've yet to race one.......Want to!!

If it says WOT disabled, then it is disabled. The new V6 Mustangs seem to be running 13.8-14.1 in the 1/4. As Deerslayer said, you're going to need several mods to be in their ballpark.

The new ford motors are pretty quick even the v6. But remember you have a truck which is much heavier and designed to tow as well has go fast. I don't really see this too surprising as I think the new mustang v6 does about the same as the old 4.6 did the older mustangs. I bet if u had the stock tires you would have been very close. I may have over looked it but was the mustang auto r standard shift?

dont feel bad those new v6 stangs arent slow! from 60mph+ they pull pretty damn hard

I know those mustangs are light, and even those v6 are pretty quick, the ego got to me I guess

I have always wanted to buy a wrecked V8 pathfinder since they came out and swap everything from the LE pathfinder into a XE 4 cylinder Frontier.

I could not for the life of me figure out how to put a sbc 350 in my 88 hardbody. Wasn't quite deep enough of a engine bay by my measurements. I sure would have loved doing it but went for a full size instead.

 

Did you measure the bed to see if the 350 would fit there?

A 350 in it (oh god) forget a v6 Stang! You would have been in the majors!

 

It will be very hard for a basic modded Titan to beat the new 3.7L Mustangs. They trap 100+ in the 1/4. You may be able to hold one off 1/8 mile, but they will reel you in quick and put lengths on you dirty, auto or manual. If one has anything done to it, forget it...... With that being said, the street has all kinds of surprises.

 

First of all, a dude driving a V6 Mustang...? :ftard:

Secondly, the new V6 Mustangs trap virtually the same as the 05-10 GT Mustangs... high 13s with a decent driver. So definitely no shame in losing to one.

Here is my supercharged 2008 GT/CS with way too many mods to mention, puts out just over 480rwp.

Needless to say that whatever I do to the Titan, it won't keep up with the Mustang.

The new 3.7L is nothing to sneeze at or be ashamed of. They can hold 500whp on stock internals with a Procharger. They're basically a 370z in American fashion. If you kinda hung with a stock one, be proud. Nothing to be ashamed of. Now if you loose to the older 4.0L then you were punked........badly. LOL

I agree with the other posters too, no shame losing to the new V6 mustang. Had one as a rental and they rip pretty good. To even hang with one puts you in the mid 14's in the 1/4. People keep forgetting how fast a mid 14 second truck really is. You would beat more than 75% of the cars on the road as a whole with no problem IMO and that's pretty cool in a 5000lb+ truck.

 

Yep and coming out of a mid 13 second truck that number increases to about 90-95% of the cars on the road. Stock 2012 regular cab hemi ram was running 15.10s the other night.

Agreed, the sound defeats the purpose of the radio. And it seems like around here the cops tend to hand out sound ordinance tickets to the Japanese "tuner" cars more. My Mustang is pretty dam loud and haven't had an issue yet, knock on wood, but these poor guys are just cruising and getting their balls busted cuz the cop thinks they gotta loud coffee can muffler, when they're actually running a nasty full exhaust. The 350z sounds pretty good

I've got General G-Max tires on mine, but they are more of an all season tire, hold onto the road in pretty much all conditions including light snow and ice. They have been great in the summer and also did very well last winter, my Mustang is an all season driver.
