2019 Titan pro4x I have had minor issues with the 4 wheel drive it all started around 15k miles I have 29k miles on it now. You know it's bad when you have to have your truck loaded on a flatbed and have to have it towed home because you can drive it on the freeway because it has 4 wheel drive issues. Can you spot the issue in the second picture.

My 2017 had the front passenger wheel sensor replaced. the symptoms were you couldn’t switch from 2x4 over to 4x4 and vice versa. (It was somewhat intermittent). I had the traction control light on and another one light up in the dash when it happened.

really not fun when you need the other mode…

Well when everything first started happening I always took pictures of what said on the dash and showed the service advisor at Nissan at first the advisor said it's not that big of a deal. By the third time it happened he said well traction control needs to be off before shifting from 2wd into 4hi or 4lo so I started doing that I shift every time from neutral standing still. When it happened a fifth time he goes the tech shifted it from 2wd to 4hi and 4lo and they couldn't figure it out and nothing comes up. So this last time I was on flat ground at the top of a boat ramp went from neutral standing still turned off traction control put it in 4lo put it drive it was fine backed up slowly trying to get my boat out of the water I was at the edge of the water put it in park with the parking brake on hooked to my boat got back in my truck.put my foot on the brake put it in drive released parking brake pulled it out slowly got to flat ground put it in park with parking brake engaged shifted it from 4lo to 2wd tried to turn on traction control it would not go on switch was in 2wd dash said 4lo it acted like it was in 4lo. Drove maybe 6 miles at 35 mph dropped off boat my advisor said did you try cycling the ignition I did I tried going from 2wd to 4hi to 4lo to 4hi to 2wd in park it would not disengage 4lo. I was 39 miles from my house so I had it towed went out this evening still stuck in 4lo tried going from 2wd to 4hi I heard a clunk from 4hi to 4lo and other clunk is heard back to 4hi then another clunk from 4hi to 2wd then it disengaged from 4lo to 2wd I tried it after I noticed the traction control wasn't lit on the dash anymore. So it's going to Nissan in the morning I won't accept anything less than we will fix it.

UPDATE so the dealership is now saying the pro comp stage II lift that 4 wheel parts installed is causing the speed sensor issues that's why it got stuck in 4lo. I have had the lift on the truck for 7 months now and I have not had a issue with it being stuck in 4wheel drive until now. I truly don't think the speed sensor is the issue II think that was just a rough idea since maybe they don't have an idea of what caused it. They ran it for codes nothing came back no permanent codes either and they could not replicate the the issue at the dealership. The only code that came up was low battery sensor and that was a totally different issue not related to the 4 wheel drive problem. So now I gotta have 4 wheel parts look at it and see what they think might have caused the issue.

i always thought it was common to put in 4lo at the boat ramp, if you have that option. we always did because of the wet surface and the angle the boat ramps usually are at

I had 1 event where my 2017 Pro-4X wouldn't come out of 4-LO. This was back in the 12-15" snow we had in February and the temp was around 15 deg. I chalked it up to the snow pack and cold temps around the transfer case. I had to drive about 1/2 mile. Stopped and put it back in N, and it came back out of 4-LO into 4-HI where my switch was set as soon as the shift lever was put into N that time. I was having no issues after that.

I've only rarely used 4Lo at a boat ramp. One that comes to mind was a sand ramp at a lake in Florida. Had to back way in to get deep enough to launch/load, and getting back out without 4wd was near impossible. It was routine for us to hang out at that ramp/beach and ride jet skis so I pulled a lot of folks out.

Generally, a steep ramp and slick conditions can be made workable with 4Hi and judicious use of the throttle - which is not to say giving her the spurs, just a nice feathered throttle giving you power without wheelspin. I currently pull a 5500-6000lb wakeboat with my Titan or my wife's Expedition. Had an issue recently on a ramp we don't use often that the approach area up to the ramp was muddy and wallowed out (dirt approach, concrete ramp) and the Expy almost couldn't get the Supra out of the water. We won't use that ramp again.

I had problems recently pulling my boat up the ramp myself. It was my first time using 4hi to retrieve my boat. The e brake I think got stuck and it never has before thought it had something to do with the 4wd for a bit until I realized my brakes were burning at the top of the ramp. Hasn't happened since and Nissan wants too much money to just diagnose it. My last Nissan for sure

Unrelated but kinda related...I had a bad bearing on my pathfinder ('11 body on frame) and I would get all kinds of weird abs issues, 4wd issues and crazy things. The issue was the bad bearing was flanking off metal and screwing with the readings on the wheel speed sensor. They are a Hall effect sensor and any metal messes them up.
Likely not related but thought I would mention it since they were talking about wheel speed sensors.
It sounds like you are on your way. Good luck.

Interesting..something to keep in mind.

I appreciate everyone's input I'm realizing that maybe it's time for me to find a different dealership to go to I dropped my truck of for a 4 wheel drive issue and also it shudders when I sit for a little while. The shuddering they told me bullshit that was a lie probably because they either didn't feel like diagnosing it or where just lazy. I run a air compressor where my spare tire is and I have airbags on my rear suspension they told me that there is a major power draw from the compressor which is a lie you have to manually turn on the compressor for it to run they also went onto say that my airbags auto inflate which is a total lie. You have to use a a cab mounted switch to inflate or deflate the airbags. There saying that those 2 things have a huge battery consumption with causes the truck not to have enough power to operate total lie. If you don't turn on the compressor there is no battery drain plus when I do turn it on the engine is running. They didn't say anything about the amps or the alternator or the other stuff I have on my truck. My truck is loaded out with lights dual air compressors air bags strobes front and rear pod lights a light bar in the grill of a total of 4 lights in the bumper I even had to go to a higher agm battery CCA battery. The 4 wheel drive issue they didn't do anything about it just looked at it even though i have had issues with it since I bought it. I need a better dealership that will diagnose issues like my a/c I can turn it to max air turn the truck off it goes back to level 1 setting the advisor said o need to set the key memory did that and it still did not fix the issue.

2018 Titan Pro 4x had 22k, I had issues with the ABS sensor, and a whole host of other things. I had my truck in a different state and the truck would not come out of 4 high. It was finally diagnosed as a transfer case motor being bad, and was actually diagnosed by a Nissan Regional technician. It was replaced three times. I have had no issues since then. The codes that it was throwing out range from an ABS sensor to transfer case, to the litany of other things but once that transfer case motor was put in, everything went away, it was strange it was throwing out ABS sensors I guess because it has to do with the speed in which the transfer case will turn.
