Yep, very exciting! Once we turned the calendar to May, I feel like it's VERY close (mine is due 5/28). I keep telling everyone that May is Titan-month.........even strangers!! Like that commercial "excuse me, I just lowered my cholesterol"

"Excuse me, I'm getting my Titan this month" LOL

I had some time on my hands yesterday, so I did a little research.

I know my truck's VIN, last 5 digits 47865. Since I think they are all sequential, I did searches at other dealerships (samples in FL, SC, NC, VA, MD, PA) to check the highest VINs on their Titans via www.nissanusa.com. There were many trucks with higher VINs than mine in the south, all the way up to Williamsport, PA (VIN 548336). I couldn't find a truck with higher VIN than mine any farther north than that.

The highest VIN in MA was 45627 (-2238) and in CT 46383 (-1482). I realize that transporation can be complicated, but will it take an additional 2 weeks for a truck to get to MA when there's one that came off the line 400+ trucks later already in PA?

For our sake, I hope not!!

Hmmmmmmmm, I don't know about that theory. Maybe you should hope that's not true because the last 5 digits of my VIN are 46780. They're in the same ballpark as yours, so maybe it makes sense, but I would have expected yours to be before mine. Veryyyyyyy interesting

Hey Bmaez, what's the last 5 digits of your VIN?

Yes, NY, I suppose there are all sorts of variables that affect when the truck gets to the dealership.

Taking the risk of being a PitA, I was thinking of calling the salesman and seeing if my order has a rail ship/rail receive date yet. As of a week ago, those dates were blank, only showing the ETA as 5/18. Of course, my deep-thinking co-worker said "You know, it'll get there when it gets there." Sage advice, but he's not going to be at the receiving end of a TITAN!!

As my 98 year old grandmother said, "Every man wants a truck."

I'll post if I hear any news.

EDIT: You know, NY, I would think that if there's a truck that probably arrived early this week in CT with a VIN only 100 or so less than yours, you have to think that yours would arrive before the 28th... time will tell.

49777 is the last 5. So according to the theory what does this mean? All this waiting is driving me crazy. I can belive how much time I spend at this site. :teethmast Especially since my wife will be the one driving it everyday. :crying:

I pay about 1440/yr for a 01 frontier and a 91 300Z N/A from geico. I think my insurance will go up about $20 once i sell the frontier.

This is the longest week of my life....I wish I could be driving my truck instead of reading about how much you guys enjoy yours :crying: . I would be so pissed if its been sitting on the lot for the past couple of days. I think my dealer is tired of me calling.

Try Amica insurance. Very highly rated insurance company with extremely good rates. They gave me a $7000 insurance check for hail damage on a previous car when everyone else at my office was only getting $2500-$4500 for similar damage on their vehicles. Most of them were using Allstate, Farmers, etc.

Regarding the VIN theory, my dealer now has one as high as 1N6AA06B44N548017, which is over 1000 higher than mine, which isn't due for almost 3 weeks (ok, 19 days, but who's counting!).
Very strange..............
It might be that the trucks are painted in lots. Then stored for assembly. BMW does this, they run red cars for X amount of days them store them until they are suppose to be assembled. Maybe your paint color isn't going to be produced until next week. It will just make it that much more special when you get it.

Maybe my VIN number theory just plain sucks! :jester:

8 days to go for mine. I check the dealer's inventory regularly, just in case it's (hopefully) early...
