(so whos the real one driving around in foreign crap?)
going from a dodge ram, to the Titan was the best move i ever made.. i love my truck! every time im at the gas station, or anywhere in general, i get guys with their Ram's, Silverado's or F150's asking me how i like my truck, and then they tell me "i thought about buying one but i dont think i could own a japanese truck"...
little do they know its 100% more 'Merican than their Trucks.. when i tell them theyre made in Mississippi and the motors are made in Tennessee, and their dodge ram is made 100% made in ontario canada with that Hemi made in Mexico, and their Silverado is 100% Hechen El Mexico, their motors are made in china and that Durocrap motor is Japanese, made by Isuzu, the look on their face is priceless! the only one i cant really rag on is Ford, because theyre straight out of Michigan and that Ecoboost is No Joke

Hahaha that's awesome! I actually toured the TN plant back in 2011 with a convoy of Xterras from all over the country. They didn't allow pics inside, but I'll tell you that plant was AMAZING and the smell indescribable. Every Nissan I see on the street I imagine it most likely came from TN and I can "see" it going down the assembly line. I wish I could see the looks on those guys' faces when you say that to them Lol

Honestly just curious,
Do you value something more "built" in the US, or designed/engineered in the US?

I think their are designers/engineers that are brilliant all over the planet.
But there are better places to "make stuff" then others... the US being one of them.

Containing manufacturing costs require companies to get creative in the modern world and leads us to the above question of which scenario is more "valuable" to consumers and the US. I think it's much more complicated than "made in the USA". Frankly I think companies are manipulating this slogan into a win-win for them, not the American economy.

I'm certainly not going to be critical of anyone's ride. Keep it maintained, clean and show some dignity about yourself goes a long way.

However,,,,, after driving a mid 2000's Silverado on a test ride, I climbed in to my 2007 Titan. The difference for me was palatable. Fit, finish, refinement, POWER all were far superior with the Titan. Couldn't get the thing out of my mind, 2 days later I was driving it home. Incredible truck the Titan is.

I don't even know why people always seem to talk about only "American" when it comes to vehicles. I'm willing to bet that as you're speaking to them, half of them probably have on a pair of Nike (American Company) which I recon either says made in Indonesia, Taiwan, China, India or something other than "USA", go figure.

People over here is like: " I didn't know the Japanese made fullsize trucks" and I'm not really sure what to answer lol. -Well it's actually American :)
The next thing almost everyone asks is "well, who made the engine?" as it is an even bigger surprise that Nissan makes a big v8.

Sorry for the late answer. It's robust and has a nice fit and finish. It was on the truck when I bought it but I've looked up the price and it is around $2400 over here, including paint. I would guess a lot cheaper in America. No rain or snow gets inside, just a little condensation sometimes when the weather shifts. Loading height is around 37'' through the rear door and 42'' once inside. I haven't tried to take it off but I figure it would be tricky do do it alone without scratching things.
I need to add some leds to light up the bed and the area behind the truck.
