I just got this Titan diecast in the mail today. I love it!
For those who don't know, I am a vehicle designer for Hot Wheels. Being a Titan owner myself, I had to get one in our line of "trend" diecast- which highlights the latest trends in the automotive aftermarket.
This is a peek of one of our latest offerings, a lifted Nissan Titan in 1/20 scale, so it's pretty big. It has solid axles and a very trick suspension, an audio/video system under the tonneau, and our biggest innovation- doors that actually open conventionally, and "Lambo style" for those of you into that style. We will have many licensed wheels and tires, these being the KMC/Hot Wheels D-back and Toyo Open Country tires, the same setup on KMC's black flamed Titan.
Please note that this is a pic of a prototype, so the paint, detail and quality are far off. The production version will be perfect! We'll have more "stock" looking paintjobs like this one, and more elaborate versions such as CST's multi-colored paint scheme.
Just wanted to give you Titan owners a heads up on what's coming out from Hot Wheels! And as far as Titans go, this won't be the only one you'll see.
Hope you guys like it and watch for it in your local stores soon- Target, Walmart, etc!
http://www.titantalk.com/forums/tit...-general-discussion/33480-sneak-peek-hot-wheels-nissan-titan-diecast-truck.htmlWe would consider a CC version if these do well. So buy 'em up guys, sales drives newer models so don't let these collect dust in the stores! We did a KC first because our friends in the aftermarket have modified KC's, such as CST and KMC. Oh, and I have a smoke KC as well, which explains this version.
A lowered one has already been considered, and I designed this truck so the body can be used on a lowered chassis. Again, we will have to see market response to dictate the future of that. But, like I said, there are other varieties of Titans coming from Hot Wheels in 06, as they become available, I'll show you guys first before anyone else!
They should be showing up in stores as "Dropstars UAV" in a few weeks! Not to leave the other truckers behind, I also did a Dodge Ram, F150 and H2 for the product line.
I've attached a few more pics, enjoy! You can see in the front shot that the doors open both ways- standard and "lambo style". I created this "dual hinge" system as not everyone likes the lambo doors, but it is a popular modification in the car shows so it will show up on many of our products. As I mentioned in my first post, these are prototype shots, so there is no grille texture, the quality of the finish is rough, etc. Wait until you see the final product! This particular truck is actually going to be custom painted for the KMC booth at the LA Auto Show! Also, all tonneau covers will be color matched, and that is a skull on the back of the trailer hitch!
I bought that myself...months ago. I found it on Ebay.AgTitan06 said:I just got this Titan diecast in the mail today. I love it!
