Thanks, called the dealer and ordered, $27.00. Parts guy couldn't confirm they came as a pair even after calling Nissan. I think it will include both sides, we'll see in 2-5 days.

 

ive seen them on ebay a few times.

 

I found out that the amp research brackets work with the oem bed extender. Ordered mine through amp today for $12

the kit comes with both lf/rt brackets. I bought some a while back.

 

The part number from techdude does include both brackets, and the were only $27 at the dealer.

Nice. I was hoping the dealer was not trying to charge $27 per bracket.

 

My local dealer was saying they changed the part number. Only one he could find though was for the full kit. Quite a few 3rd party vendors have it listed under the old PN and for prices ranging from $21+S&H, to about $52+S&H.

 

Is this bed extender permanent or can it be removed? I put bikes in my flatbed most weekends but don't like having them hanging out the back with the open tailgate. I don't have the utilitrac deal so I haven't been able find a bed extender for it that I can put in or remove just for the weekends.

 

It is removable. The extender kind of clips into the brackets and little straps clip into the tailgate latch to keep the extender from moving. You can also flip the extender 180 degrees and close the tailgate with the extender still in the brackets.

I used the same bolt on ones from amazon and they work great, I haven't had any problems.
