I just picked up a 2005 Titan SE, for what I think was a pretty good deal. I ended up paying $3700 (including tow home.) He was asking more, but I was quick to point out the many flaws. It was definetly a work truck its whole life, and it shows. It has some dents and dings, but looks good from 20 ft away. One thing I've learned about work trucks is that they're usually maintained well. No truck, no money. This one is no exception..148k and it runs great.

I do have a couple questions though:

1. The rear sonar sensors do not work. The light is always on off. I searched and did the diagnostics, and I believe im getting code 1-1. (I'd like to post a video to get reassurance) 1-1 is the outer left sensor. If one sensor goes bad the whole system stops working? Also when I did the diagnotics test, I heard no beeping. Does this mean the speaker is bad too? ( i didnt get a speaker code, i do not think) I'm guessing these sensors are not cheap to replace?

2. Like I said the truck was a work truck and the dents really don't bother me. But what does bother me is the plastic corner piece of the bumper sagging down. I gave it a quick look, and it appears that this is all attached to a metal bumper frame? Is there a way to adjust that, without torching and bending? ( see pics below)

Anyway, I've been a nissan/infiniti guy since I got into cars 10 years ago. I've owned numerous 300zx Twin Turbos and a couple g35 coupes. This is my first truck, and so far im really digging it.

For the backup sensor, do a search on here. The only thin that needs to be replace is the buzzer. There is a cheap fix/buzzer, but you will need to use the search function to find it .

Not sure on the bumper ....

Yeah that is a great price for the truck. Doesn't look bad at all!

And like someone mentioned, you just need to replace the buzzer for sonar. You can get one at RadioShack but if you search you can find the specific one people have found online that most resembles the same tone and loudness. I'm still planning to do this soon.

The front bumper cowl's main support is a bar that extends from the frame to the bumper. It is attached by two bolts on each side, four total. Loosen these, and adjust as needed, then retighten.

Welcome to TT. Don't eat the walnuts.

Im in the northeast...Philadelphia area. I'm not sure I would get $8500 for it, but hell I'd take $7500 in a heartbeat. Flipping it crossed my mind, but I kind of like it, and i have plenty of $$ left over in my budget to make it decent. But we'll see

I will be doing PDR on some of the dents, there is one that will require more attention than that though.

I actually took my first stab at body work over the weekend. I got a majority of the dents pulled, filled and primed. I do need to find someone to paint over my terrible paint job though.

I wouldn't call it a crazy deal, but I feel I got a more than fair price, considering everything it needs is mostly cosmetic.

We'll see home many little gremlins pop up before I call it a great deal. So far so good though, she's running great.

My master window switch will roll down all of the windows, but will not roll up the rear windows. They will roll up using their respective switches though. Master switches known to give out?
