I have had the Titan since mid november and have 2100 miles. I traded in an '02 Ram and haven't looked back once. I really love the truck and don't have any problems other than loving to drive this truck. I am amazed at the drive train and the interior. Absolutely kills my old Ram which had it's share of problems but overall was pretty good. It had the 4.7 so the endurance is a big upgrade in that department. I'm not going to go into a big whine about issues. Lets just say that I had more initial problems with my 1st year Ram at this point than I had with the Titan. I just have 2 questions that someone might have an answer of similar experience.

1. On multiple occasions I will be at a red light on an incline and when I let off the brake to hit the gas the truck will roll back a few inches. I have never had this happen on an automatic tranny and wanted to know if this is normal or not.

2. On the memory seats it seems that when it gets cold out (today it was 45) the memory seat doesn't engage to my settings when I use the fob to unlock. It seems to work consistently in warmer weather.

That said I love the truck and I am glad of the purchase that I made.

Thanks for the info. What is the difference between a the titans high stall torque converter and the standard TC? Isn't the TC supposed to lock from going backwards when you are in drive?

Nice post regarding your new Titan! To many trolls lurking lately and good about this truck is getting "buried" by the BS.

Hope you enjoy it. A good friend and 04 F150 owner rode to the mts with me yesterday to go skiing... hated to admit how much she liked the Nissan after the trip!!

I've driven 4 Titans and all have the same slight 'rollback' characteristic. I thought it was kind of neat! Can't help with the seats, mine is an SE, no memory.
Congrats on the new truck and thanks for sharing the Ram/Titan comparison as well, hope your Titan continues to please.

Mine does also, I think the T/C is set up for a little more slip at low speed then most people are used to. All vehs will roll backwards in drive, the Titan just seems to do so on less of a hill then others. I don't consider it an issue, just the way the truck works.

Good to know everyone else has the same "rollback". It just scared the crap out of me the first couple of times it happened. I thought I might have accidently shifted into neutral. Next step is figuring out how to customize the exterior a bit. I had some sweet ghost flames painted on the Ram that I loved. The Titan body has too many sharp angles for flames so I am going to try to figure something out with my buddy for the paint.

in my little brain...i just figured they (nissan) decided not to have the throttle that high in drive...dont forget that we are not drive by a cable...its all computerized...
not having the throttle pushing against the brakes at stoplights would be better all around in my oppinion on fuel economy, and wear & tear on the motor.
my thoughts...:)

I dont think so. Unless you are driving with 2 feet, it would not be pushing against the brakes anyway. Besides, the front wheels do most of the braking and the rear wheels do the driving. Its easy to over come the rears with the throttle. I have never noticed this "rollback" but I move my foor very fast as I normally drive a stick.
