Where did you guys get your power wire thru the firewall? do you have pics? is it a pain in the a$$? How many feet did you need to reach behind the back seat? Thanks for the help...
You'll never see the hole, and if you decide to sell the truck, a piece of aluminum flashing and some sound mat will easily cover it.Justintoxicated said:I'm supposed to have 1 4ga and 1 6ga but the 6ga amp is just for the front components. Maybe after I hit over 5000 miles I will feel less bad about drilling a 1 inch hole into my Babys firewall?

What side did you go through? Would it be easier to go through the inside of the cab if I removed the glovebox and drilled from there? I took a quick look and I just want to be sure I am drilling in the same place as others have already done. I want to do it right the first time.
Just pulled back the carpet and foam and snapped it, not hard. I never saw the "N" you guys were refering to. I just tried to take measurements based off of the A/C drain on both sides. I used a small bit to ensure it was properly aligned. My first hole came out too close to the drain on the engine side, the one that runs out towards the side of the truck. I covered that small hole with the bquiet you see there, then adjusted from there. I couldn't find a 1" unibit, so I had to use a hole saw. That sheet metal is pretty thin, so it wasn't too difficult, although I did bend my hole saw's center bit (cheap.)smoketitan said:wow how did you get that pic--lol
mine went through the lower tip of the N on the firewall I used a small carbide bit to pilot the hole then used a unibit with a 1" step to drill the hole
youll need at least a 18v drill or corder version with some power
