Problems according to date of Manufacture

I have been keeping tabs on the diferent problems that have arrisen with the Titan and I am noticing trends. What I would like to do is compare problems to build dates and see if there are any similarities.
Example: Bed liner problems
If everybody who is having a bedliner problem had a truck that was made in February, then it would be safe to say that there is a relationship between these vehicles. If I was in the market for a Titan and it was made in February, then...
My truck was manufactured in May and is one of the first with the E-lockers. I am having none of the common problems that anyone is reporting so far. My truck is later production, Im wondering if they have been quietly fixing problems or if QA is getting beter. I have heard some simaler ideas stated and I want to see if it is really true.
This should be simple, build date and problem. If you dont know were your build date is, look at your drivers door sill.

This is a great idea, I have experience with recalls and alike and the manufactures use the Vin number to identify the affected units, i.e. my 2WD SE KC has a Vin of 4N537202 the last 8 digits of the Vin. I this will correlate to the build date. I did not purchase a certain truck because it has a Vin in the 4N52xxxx and it is still in stock it is old!!, one of the first ones built. To much of a gamble for me. I took a chance with 5300 Vin but so far so good.

Excelent,(not the problems) this is what I was talking about. As people start plugging in the information, we will begin to see some interesting trends.

So far, two trucks built in May with no problems.

(E-Locker is the electronic locking diferential)

04 Armada SE 4x2
Build Date - March 2004

Problem - Sqeak from rear of interior.

The thing that I hate the most from Nissan is their dealers are brain-dead when it comes to repairing these defects. With new vehicles like ours, I expect them to phone or mail owners notices to have their vehicles serviced by the dealers for defects. I kinda wish they had built these vehicles in Japan. My '03 Pathfinder LE is much better built vehicle!

My Armada is much better than the competition, it's just that Nissan lowered their standards when they built these vehicles. They could have done this better.

I still love my Armada! I get compliments everywhere I go!

Pardon my ignorance but , what is an E-locker ?

Also, I read where they are going to have A power rear window coming out later in the year for the Titan. Is this fact or fiction ?

PS: commerce ins. sucks
Jvodka, An E-locker is an electronic locking differential. Flip the switch, and the differential locks the right and left axles together as if they were one solid axle. On the Titan, this will only work in low range on the 4x4. You gain the advantage of having both tires working for you at all times, but when you give up the differential action, it is easier to slide sideways (if both tires are slipping). Not for use on the street. Also best not to use it while on any high-traction surface while turning. The outside tire has to travel farther when turning, and it will cause the inside one to spin, and this also puts a lot of strain on the components.
Clear as mud?

Nothing wrong so far (fingers crossed) except Rear sonar. Even my radio works as expected.

I did have them replace the rotors according to the TSB at 8,500 miles.

Built 05/04

Problems:
radio fade
RF seat wont lock back in position when using fold down feature.
rear diff paint is peeling off and rusting up.
Haven't taken it in yet... I'm waiting till after the 4th

I'm a ford tech and this stuff is nothing compared to some of the stuff I saw on f-150's first batch of trucks. Mismatched computers, coolant leaks and few trim items to say the least. I'm glad I got the Titan

SE KC with popular package

My dealer knows me well. Even the parts guys since I can't get any parts.
1. panel on tailgate loose- fixed after two attempts
2. fm problem- still waiting
3. driver's seat moves when leaned on- still researching at dealer
4. rear door handle doesn't engage properly-fixed twice so far and still doesn't work
5. mushy brakes-been in three times so far
6. trim pieces above rear window fall- not to dealer yet
7. bad trim piece covering seatbelt on rear door- fixed
8. irregular gas gauge- dealer and NISSAN says its normal even though light comes on with eight gallons left. NISSAN said I probably have a 20 gallon tank...What???
9. most Nissan accessories have problems- improper directions for bug shield and mud flaps. fog lights were ok.
10. getting parts-stripped two screws putting on mud flaps and they have been on order since early march.
11. Minor dash rattles-being researched

With exception of the brakes most problems are just annoying. Still love the truck and would buy it again. Nissan will hopefully catch up with maintenance and parts before long. I think its sort of funny that every issue I have were never been seen at the dealer or by Nissan before.
