Push to Start question

Hello, all.... new Titan owner here... bought a 2017 Titan a short while ago and have a question regarding the push button. Sometimes, we need to press the button 2-3 times with the brake pedal depressed before it will crank. Are we doing something when shutting it OFF? This is our first push button vehicle... ;-) Had the battery, starter and alternator checked and all were good. This doesn't happen all the time.
Thanks in advance...

No, should be nothing related to shutting it off. Just a guess, but it sounds like when the brake pedal is depressed it isn’t closing the switch interlock that allows the truck to start. Push down hard on the brake pedal and then push the start button. If it consistently starts doing this maybe there is an adjustment to that switch. Could also just be the start button itself. Just a guess, but it’s worth a try.

When this happens is the « push button » illuminated ?

if the truck doesn’t detect the keyfob in close proximity it will not start.

the battery in the keyfob doesn’t last long, I change mine every spring. Manual mention 18 months…
if the keyfob battery dies put it against the push button and press it to start.
