Can i disconnect my pcv hoses from the intake and run for a few days like that to find out if they are the problem or not ?
What harm woyld i do by running this test ?

You'll potentially do two things. First, you'll likely throw lean codes and get terrible fuel economy. Second, you'll probably spray oil all over your engine top via the disconnected hoses.

What's the issue you're trying to diagnose with the PCV valves?

I changed valve covers recently, but that does not mean they were good quality or done correctly ! They seemed not very tight around the spark plug tubes and i didnt clean the oil off of the heads because i didnt know if brake clean would harm anything !
Yet it is still smoking !!!
Some people suggest cat inhilation ???
But i want to be CERTIAN before i spend 3500 for a remanned motor and who knows what to have it installed !

Do a compression test on your cylinders.
