As the air temperature decreases, the risk of detonation (spark knock
or pinging) also decreases. Therefore, a more aggressive timing curve
can be used without risk of detonation. It also tells the computer
that the inbound air is more dense and the ECU adds more fuel to the
mix (A/F Ratio is enriched). By adding This Chip in line with your MAF
(Mass Air Flow) sensor, it “Lies” to the ECU making It believe the
incoming air is colder than it actually is. After studying, 660 ohm’s
in line with the MAF will decrease the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) by
~20 degree’s. As described above this will keep your Nissan Titan
from pulling timing. This chip allows you to keep your stock (actual)
readings from the MAF when off (Red) but when you turn your chip
on(Green), the ECU will receive Temperature readings from the MAF to
be about 20 degrees colder. $20 shipped

I personally have one of these on my 05 and the install took less than 5mins and was very easy with great instructions. The truck does pull a little harder in the upper rpms than before. I will have the website updated soon but until then just shoot me a pm.

I love my IAT chip. Cheap, easy and you can definitely feel a difference

I was one of the first with this style mod on the truck back when Deerslayer found all the correct ohms for us. It definitely works and my IAT always matches outside air temp. Mine is permanent though no switch. Rather have my truck measure real air temps going it and just not a heat soaked tube

The resistor makes the computer think it is 20 degrees cooler from the temp at the maf sensor. In the first pic I was parked,in the second I was doing about 40 mph and with the ram air the wind chill played a small part. the outside temp was 89*

No issues with this and being Uprev tuned? I'm guessing not, based on those here that commented...

I turn it off when I send randy logs ,,,,Its funny the whole log says 75* no change ,that was only one log though and it was 95* that day. Not really sure how the guys at Uprev feel about it. I did send a log to them but I told him to disregard because it was before I put my Catted B-pipes back on.

The good thing about this IAT mod is that the MAF is what sees the temp, so since it's connected to a metal or plastic pipe their is no shielding it from underhood temps etc... and the MAF sensor gets heat soaked showing higher temps than what is really going in the engine.

This mod gets the IATs just right.

And yes it works very well with Uprev. 04-06 and 07+. Best way to put it, is try running this on/off in 90-95* heat and you will notice a difference for sure.

Plus my tuner runs the same mod so everything is working great!

Just Wanted to get a quick Thank You in to Jeff for sponsoring my product!

For those of you interested or if you have any questions please feel free to PM me and i'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Installed this yesterday. Dropped IAT from 111 to 86 which is 25 degrees, outside temp was 88.

I believe most installing this already have the Ram Air mod, I do not, but I will soon.

Has anyone tested this for knock or detonation when run during high temps? Just double checking.

You get me some stock plugs instead of having to splice it, and I'll pay double.

Boy does the Autoguide app for Android suck. Give titantalk.com back to tapatalk.

The splice is no big deal at all. One wire solder and some hear shrink tubing. Its very easy to get to and can just about be hid in the OEM wire loom.

Way back on CT there were people saying it would hurt your MPG's,,,,,, Just ran to Austin and back first MPG check was at 186 miles / by 12.1 gals chip on whole trip running 75-80 Not to bad for a 4x4 with 167 thou on it! ( that's 15.37 mpg )

Unfortunately this mod is MAF specific for our titans. I'm sure the same concept applies for other vehicles but the resistance needed to change IAT would probably be different.
