Seek advice...F-150 4x2 rear ended me this week. No significant damage since I have a Titan Crew Cab LE Crew Cab 4x4 BIG TOW. This truck is built like a tank!
His older F-150 front end is a mess from hitting my tow hitch. Not much visible damage to my truck, the trailer light socket is bent and the plastic step up on the bumper is gouged. Repair site is free and recommends replacing the entire hitch, especially if tow toys (yes, a boat).
Hitch is solid steel and both it and frame look undamaged...worried OEM replacement will never be as solid as original. What would you do? I am worried if I ever get in accident towing boat, insurance company will later fault me for declining new hitch.
