I've done a search, but did not find much about Stillen's supercharger for the Titan. I know there are a few here, but i haven't seen any write ups of how good the supercharger really is. Why?????
Yea, actually it was 13.3@105 on G-tec w/a 4.9 0-60, one of the few times the tranny held 1st. I really didn't get many chances to see what I have..1st gear does not hold all the way to 6k most of the time it just lets go around 4k in 1st and I end up bogged down in lower rpm in 2nd gear..I'm not sure if Tq management is kicking in or what.. After the new tranny goes in and gets a civilized break in I will try a level 10 valve body mod and head on down to the track.QShip said:Mark did 4.9 0 - 60 and 13.2 @ 105 with slipping tranny.
The weak links have been killin me! I'm waiting on my 3rd tranny.Blown330 said:Get some ET Streets after the transmission and test out your axles and driveshaft. May as well find all the weak links in one go...![]()
those look dangerous mark.i wanna try them too.markislive78 said:The weak links have been killin me! I'm waiting on my 3rd tranny.
I have some 28x14.5-16 (12'' tread) Hoosier slicks I plan 2 use at the track....
Level 10 VB is what I'm trying next on another stock tranny (3rd tranny). The Stillen VB did not work out for me, could tell no diff. Might have caused my all of a sudden failures. The 1st tranny went out while I was still naturally aspirated and only 300 or so miles after the VB upgrade. Transmission was fine before.

There should be a button labeled "New Thread" on each forum. Click that button.Cjack1 said:Hey guys new to titan talk, how do you post new threads?
The 1st tranny fried naturally aspirated on the way to Austin it was stuck in drive no revese or anything else, drove fine other wise (fused forward drive clutches). 2nd tranny lost (5th or OD) after the S/C while in Austin, since then totally croaked a week or so after I was back home. Both tranny's had the Stillen upgraded VB.centex_titan said:hey mark i was talking to toomnymods at a titan meet and he said that you fryed your tranny at uprev is that what happend?
It seems, my tranny was fine before sent the VB off...they want me to send the VB back to them on my coin so they can look at it. I asked for my money back since I could feel no difference after the upgrade and they told me "no". I'm not sure what sending it in is going to do. It's not like they would say something was wrong with it and take responsability for 2 trannys right? What do you think?StuntDriver06 said:wow, it seems that stillen caused the tranny failure... what did they have to say about it? cant wait to see what you run....
Your probably right. How much is a transmission?markislive78 said:It seems, my tranny was fine before send the VB off...they want me to send the VB back to them on my coin so they can look at it. I think a new one is like 6,500 bucks installed or something crazy like that. I was able to get a deal on a used one with a warranty. I still have my original tranny that might end up going to level 10 for the bullet proof service if this happens again. Or maybe I will just quit!SKEET said:Your probably right. How much is a transmission?
Well the tranny shop says that the VB wasn't putting out enough line pressure and that's what caused the drive clutches to fuse (heat) on the 1st trannycentex_titan said:man thats messed up that they wont give you your money back. do you have any proof that it was the VB that caused the tranny to go, if so i would want them to pay for the tranny and labor.
My tranny burnt up with 30K miles, and I'm not supercharged.als said:are you guys cooking trannys from because of your supercharger?
