thermostat housing bolts

2013 titan 72000 miles trying to swap out stock thermostat for 180 stat bottom housing bolt wont break free afraid it is going to snap wondering i anyone has run into this and if they might haveany suggestions for freeing it

Some people get a torch, like mapp gas from the hardware store in the small cannisters, and heat just the bolt heads and then tighten and loosen a little at a time.

Ohhhh, work. That won't work than.

I guess you are just going to have to tighten/loosen with pb blaster on it for a while

do you see a little trail from the bolts? i am not sure how far the bolt threads into the block, like if it goes into a water passage. it seems odd to do that though

you are changing the thermostat because maybe its bad? it does have some miles on it, that's for sure.

you just have to be careful to apply even smooth pulls and not trying to jerk it. when i have stuck bolts, i try to use a longer than normal lever arm so i can pull as smoothly as possible so to not strip or break stuff. those are probably small bolts though? like 10mm or something tiny? those are horrible to try and get out for exactly what you are worried about

i want to put a cooler one on had a 180 stat on my 06 and ran much better with it
i dont want it to snap so ill use pb blaster every night till next week than try to see if it moves
