Tires you running?

What are you running currently on your Titan other than Nitto ridge grapplers?
I think most know ridge grapplers are pretty popular!!!!!!!! But there are what I think about five or six top notch at’s out there at the present and every tire has its pros and cons.
I had it narrowed down to nitto and toyo at3 and went with toyo. I have some snow to deal with and hit the mountains fly fishing in the winter so that factor alone tipped me toyo’s way. Ridge grapplers are definitely one of the best looking tires and have a great following!!!!
I heard the falken wildpeak can be a great value at…..who makes your rubber?

Sorry. Confused two posts.

For your question, if you're on stock tires and you're replacing with LTs in the stock size, you're going to see a nominal difference in ride quality, a difference in mpg proportional to the weight change from one tire to another (I lost about 1mpg for roughly 16lbs of added tire weight per tire when I went from P to LT in my OEM size), and zero change in hydroplaning aside from differences in tread pattern which will be fairly minimal unless you go to a very tight/busy tread pattern.

if you get a tire that is a decent amount heavier, you might feel it in your shocks. i have cooper adventurer LT275/65/20s versus the stock goodyear wrangler 275/60/20 for towing and lost a few mpg and can feel the shocks need to be replaced on certain roads/bumps because the tires shake the truck pretty bad.

i don't know how much they weigh but its a good deal over those wranglers. i guess i am not good at googling tire weight because i cannot find that info.

one thing that is good though. the wranglers were a 33" tire and the coopers are a 34. now my speedometer is correct and matches my gps and those speed radar signs on the roads

I wanted a road biased A/T tire that performs REALLY good in wet weather. It rides really nice and is relatively quiet for an A/T tire. I've been really happy with them so far.

My previous tires were Goodyear Wranglers. They pretty much sucked in all conditions.

a buddy had those pirelli scorpions on an suv back when we in our early 20s. they were dang good tires, off road too. we used to go off road alot and he always did well in a rodeo and no lift. i had a trooper2 with a lift and 33" tires so i was great but his little rodeo did very well on those pirellis

I'm ok with OEMs on the PR for now. I love the aggressive looking tires that some of you guys have, but as you get older (like me) you like your daily driver to be nice and quiet. The PR is a great long distance behemoth, and I figure putting aggressive tires on it will make long distance trips a little tiring (no pun intended). If I didn't care about road noise nor money, I'd probably do something like this, as I also grew up watching the Fall Guy like @busemans 🤣

Us too. It has been in the 80s here lately. We spent the day installing car stereos and speakers in the kid's vehicles and than getting a new fridge upstairs for the wife .... In flip flops. Dang mosquitoes are enjoying the weather too.

Funny enough, my SS runs on Summer Only tires and I've been told that anything above 45 degrees turns the rubber into hard hot wheels car tire like plastic. It always amazes me to see for just the few weeks of frigid temps how many people are in similar cars out on the roads. Hell, one of the guys that lives in the next building has a new Corvette with Summer Only tires and lets it sit parked outside. Not sure how he can't spring for a few hundred more a month to park that thing in a garage, or find a house somewhere and park it there. I saw him a few weeks ago with a wrecker trying to get into it. Apparently he locked himself out. Oh well, just cause you make a lot of money doesn't necessarily mean you're smart I guess.

The overnight lows are dipping into the neg 5 to 11 degrees! Snow and ice covered roads — no question Duratracs 275/65/20 -home safe after regular towing a water tank on a trailer and another in the bed of the t!

I replaced my stock tires with Vredestein Pinza AT's-they have been good in snow and wet. Not too noisy on dry highway. Kinda of a kick in the knackers for MPG on highway but I expected that from their tread. Got them at Tirerack and had good reviews and test results. So far I'm happy after 12K miles of interstate, snow, mud, dirt and puddles.
