Hey guys out there, I have a very big question to ask. here's the scenario, i was parked at an uphill road, and when i tried to shift from PARK to reverse to drive, its too hard to shift it and what i did is forced it and it made a thud sound coming from transmission i guess. so my question is, is this a big problem. does it really happens when you're parked uphill or downhill? please i need your reactions.
thank you.

When parked either uphill or downhill, set your parking brake before you put it in park. That will take care of that problem.

yea, when parking on a hill, it is likely that you will get that clunk if you dont set the parking brake and let it catch before you put it in park.

well thanks guys. will that give us a problem though when done often?

Long term actions such as this could cause premature locking pin wear. Do as suggested above. This is an advisable thing for ALL vehicles.
