Whatever brand or whoever installs it make sure the install is neat and all the wires under the dash are protected with a wire loom or some anti-abrasion tape. The metal under the dash is very sharp almost serrated from the stamping process. And that goes for all you guys that had them installed do yourself a favor and drop the driverside under dash and take a peek at the install, If the wires are running through the holes of the metal stamping, wire loom it or tape it up good. The reason I say this, My truck came with a viper alarm and auto start and the install was horrific. I found out the hard way. Driving home from work one morning the power locks locked on there own. I thought it was a fluke, a couple of miles down the road the locks started going ape sh!t. Then I smelt burning rubber, Then I saw flaming rubber fall onto my sneaker. I quick pulled over and ripped the battery cable off, took the dash apart and saw the carnage. I had to put the truck back to stock on the side of the road just so I could get it started due to the antitheft. Wasn't fun. The viper unit was pretty cool, I could start the truck from about 400 ft. through a concrete wall, the viper remote gave a confirmation beep when it started.
