going to be attempting what I think will be a 1st on here  I lifted the rear seat 2" and once I get my 3" body lift on. probably next weekend at the soonest I'll proceed to cut the tranny hump out of the floor in the back under the seat. I've considered taking it out of the rear all together and we'll see, but it seems like I'll have carpet problems after that  seriously though, I'll be sure to take pix. I'll also have pix/vids of what I put under the rear seat.. should be interesting... also I have 8" midbasses in my front doors and I'll be doing an update on my front door panels to have over 8" openings so I don't block airflow since the 8"s aren't even showing their full potential yet :D anyway, should be said and done up in a couple weeks... I just posted this to see what people would have to say prior to me doing it :)

WOW, sounds ambitious! Be sure to post a lot of pics!

yeah, welding a spot. subs, got some custom 10"s I've been running a pair of strapped xfire xp1400ds on in my wifes car so I'll possibly run them. I have a bunch of options after I do this since my box will be a little over 12" high in front 16" deep with a rear height of 9.5" and a box volume around 4 cubes :D should be good... won't start the cutting til next weekend after I get the body lift on just to be sure of clearances :D

I'm confused. What's the purpose, to get a little more air volume in the sub enclosure?

Why not just cut out the whole floor under the rear seats and weld in a new floor that was deeper?

HAHA since you have earphones on I'm assuming you dont listen to it that loud often! That awas insane, you are going to shake that car apart! :)

If you can make the panels in the jetta deform like that the Titan doesnt stand a chance.

I also thought it was funny how you just did that on the side of the road somewhere.... :)

Your license plate frame says Kona VW, are you on the big island? My mom lived in Pahoa for 3 years.

yeah, big island.

did it at the bottom of the road I live on since there aren't houses nearby. I didn't have earplugs. I actually listen to it alot louder in my installs... keep in mind that's the wifes car. she totes the kid around  my loudest installs were in my old hatchback forcus :D probably my favorite was my RE MT 18" on between 3000 and 4000rms it was rediculous WAY louder than that install... never used earplugs really. I work construction so I'll loose hearing early anyway. and because of hazards of work I don't think I'll live as long as someone who does something a little less hazardous...
