I like that man, looks really nice. I love doing little projects like that. I painted my engine cover and badges and stuff. Very creative though, nice work.

I use this paint advesive for plactices and I did make sure it was clean. I Did use enamel paint its candy red color. I just not sure what will happen when it rains. I didnt even think about sanding it i hope it will be okay.

Painting the badges is really simple. Taking the badges off is the pain. You can find numerous threads on removing them if you need to. But I just sanded the badges to give them a surface for the paint to stick to then just used good ol' spray paint, (krylon) and gave it two coats of black then put a protective clear coat over it. The put them back on with some 3m auto tape. easy as that!

Idk if I like it but I dont think it was a good idea either, whats gonna happen when you wash your truck? Your probably gonna use some pressure over the running boards and all that will come off, But if you like it thats all that really matters

nice, you should paint the charcoal part black, that should set it off. lets see that thing completed at the next meet!

From my experience spray paint holds up pretty well under the pressure washer, if you show it some respect. I painted my bed extender black to match the mirrors, door handles, and fender flares and there has been no pealing under the pressure washer. You should be okay.

The AEM is fine. There was not much choice on the market when I got it. Seems like you can probably get something a little better now as the market is full of intakes. I hear good things about the Stillen intake.

Have any of you tried painting the OEM running boards? I want to paint mine black instead of having the charcoal and can't find any posts where it has been done.
