I have bought two sets of wheels and tires from 4Wheel Parts in the last 5 years. I have always been satisfied but never had to ask any questions before. Three emails to them with what I think is a pretty simple question have gone unanswered. I just blasted off a fourth (not as friendly) and expect no different. Here is what I am asking. A set of wheels for my last truck (Nissan Titan) share the bolt pattern with my new ride (2009 Sierra). Now although they share a lug pattern I believe the actual size of the lug is different. I also know that factory lug nuts won't work as the AR wheels require a thin wall lug nut. I asked them to verify if they are in fact a different size and if so provide a part number and price quote for the correct lug nut compatible with the aftermarket wheels. I know they won't make much money off this deal but I am a repeat customer who is now far less likely to buy from them again. In my last message I asked at least a "pound salt" reply. Have any of you folks dealt with these guys and do you have any advice that may help me? Any info on the lug nut situation or suggestions on getting customer service from this outfit is appreciated. :bangit:

You still have a telephone, right? ;)

Those guys are shady. Took me almost 4 weeks to get my wheels, and I was told initially 5-7 days. Got my wheels and one box seemed to be opened and different from the others. Opened it up and I was missing a bolt to attach my centercaps. Took another 2 weeks to get that. Also they didn't deliver the wheels which I paid over $120 in shipping for, to my house. I had to drive about 60 miles to pick them up at the docks. They said they'd refund my cc $50 for gas but that was a lie too. Crappy service and an even worse shipping system.

Have never heard much good about that outfit. There aren't any local to me, so I've never experienced them first hand, nor have I ordered anything via mail from them.

Personally, I've ONLY dealt with them locally. They were picked up by 4WD.com's parent company and are basically the same company now but never fully merged, so 4wd.com and 4 Wheel Parts appear to be separate companies from the outside. Never would have thought to order wheels from them, but that's another story.

Overall my experience in dealing with the local store has been ok, they did mess up an order and had the wrong parts shipped but they did correct it. They also were about 5 days late getting a different order in.

Honestly, I wouldn't rely on website/email communication to get issues resolved. Pick up the phone and talk to them. Not sure why people forget about this option these days, maybe it's too much reliance on the internet. Good luck!

You are right about the phone but I rarely use it anymore. There are a couple of reasons one being, for me, phone orders seem to get messed up more often. I would rather enter the information myself, verify it, and then hit the button to complete the sale. With such a small sale and no real time pressures the email inquirey seemed the way to go. To me it shows respect for the vendor's time. It's also a test. If you list email as a means of communication then....well you get the point. I did get a response this time with the information I requested. They claim to have not recieved any of the others. They were all sent the same way and to the same address so that is a mystery. Thanks for the help guys.

to answer you question yes the thread pitch is different. the Titan uses a 12x1.25 lugnut and the GMC will use a 14x1.50 and like you said on an aftermarket wheel you will need a smaller diameter lugnut. you will also need to get hubrings for the Sierra because the hubs on the Nissan are bigger. The hubrings are inexpensive and help keep the wheel centered on the hub and gives you better ride quality. you can certainly visit out Home - Discount Tire Direct site and contact one of those guys and they can get everything shipped to you with customer service as their utmost importance
