I'm looking at replacing the tires on my 2008 Titan CC 4X4 and am wondering if these tires will fit on my OEM 20" wheels with no rubbing.

BTW I'm looking at the Cooper Zeon LTZ.

I currently have Bridgestone Revos in 275/60/R20 on there right now. How do you think the Coopers will compare to them.

These are my options: All prices include certificates of free replacement.

1. Buy Coopers in stock size an put on OEM wheels. ($849.00)

2. Buy Cooper Zeon LTZ in 275/60/R20 and have them mounted on these Liquid Metal rims: Liquid Metal Dyno ($1,584.00)

3. Put 305/55/R20 Cooper Zeon LTZ on OEM rim. ($1,268.00)

I have about $600 in rewards on my credit card that I can use for maintenance on my truck. So that will bring down the cost somewhat.

The 305 will work fine on the stock rims, (although Cooper wants a 8.5" minimum rim width), and on the Dyno.

Since the Dyno has a 5.75" backspacing they will stick in 1/4" more, and since they are a 9" they will stick out 3/4" more than stock. You might get slight rubbing with them, but more like the mudguard fender liner reshaping work, instead of the pinch weld mod. The stock rims will not have any issues. If you off road you might want to look at a more aggressive tread like a Terra Grappler or ATm Rf10. This size mostly has E load rated tires, but if you are looking for a likely softer ride, that would be closer to stock, there is an extra load version of the Terra Grappler, (305/55R-20 XL 120S B), in addition to the light truck version.

more choices in 305/55R20

Here are a couple pics of my LT305/55R20 Zeon LTZs. I am really happy with the tire. It actually lives up to it's "sporty" A/T claim. No rubbing either.

Ok, I think I'm going to try and put the Cooper LTZ tires (305/55/R20) on my stock rims.

I have an 08.5 model Titan LE (no lift or leveling kit), so does anyone think I'll have any rubbing issues with the stock splash guards?

Is your rig 4WD. If not, I would recommend 305/50R20. They will fit on the stock rims. The 55s will not rub as I used to have mud flaps before I put my flares on. IMO, the 55s may fill your wheel well too much if you are 2WD. Here is a picture of my rig with 305/50R20 Terra Grapplers sitting at a height very close to what your truck sits if it is 2WD. I have my Polaris Ranger on the back in this picture so it is down a bit.

Yep, I have a 4X4. Looks like I'm going with the 305/55/R20 Cooper LTZs. Thanks

So how did the 305's fit and did you have any rubbing issues. I'm thinking about doing the same with my 09. I have the Heavy Metal edition 20 inch wheels on it and I think the 305's would be an awesome edition.

I actually didn't get tires installed until yesterday. I didn't go with the 305s though. I went with the 275/60/R20 Cooper Zeon LTZ. I didn't think I would have enough clearance when the wheel was turned all the way to one side. I only have about 1/4" - 1/2" or so clearance with the 275 Coopers right now. I didn't want to do the leveling kit and I stuck with the stock rims. The 305s are a good inch or so wider so, it might have barely fit.

My credit card rewards paid for the set of tires though, ran $1,005 with nitrogen (online coupon) installed at a local tire store. I could have gotten them a little cheaper through discount tire direct, but I'll be able to get free tire rotations at the local store.

So far the Coopers are good. I used to have the Bridgestone Revos, so I have high expectations for the Coopers. They are a fairly aggressive tread for a all terrain tire.

Hey Just saw the post. I have on my 06 4x2 a set of 305/50R20 cooper Discoverers and they run fine. No rubbing or anything. I think you will be happy with the 275 a little more side walls for a smother ride, my truck went to a stiffer ride when I changed the tires. Just remember to rotate them every 5000 miles and they should hold up. Post a picture of the new tires on your truck so we all can see it. The zeons are a sharp looking tire.
