MacProducts

They are a well known company in the domestic muscle car world...
I had MAC 1-5/8in Long tubes on my stang along with the Mac Prochamber.

Good quality stuff as well.

The prochamber is interesting b/c its a mix between an Xpipe/Hpipe and a "channel pipe- (two pipes are welded together in parallel with a baffle in between them which allows for mismatched pressures and pulses to cross to the idle side while allowing full, uninterrupted or redirected flow)"

Kooks, no doubt their quality, is going to be hard pressed to show any significant amount of performance in peak rwhp and average rwhp over the Stillen, doug Thorley and Nismo headers.

The Nismo Headers are made by HKS Japan, btw.

Be interesting to see how everything turns out though!

Interesting.

Which of those is a stainless header in current production ?
The stillen headers are stainless steel.

I have some of the first run doug thorley headers which are stainless steel and ceramic coated. They still look brand new with little to no discoloration. They have been on my over a year.

The nismos are not in production anymore.

I think doug thorley does offer their headers in a 14guage mild steel with a ceramic or chrome coating for a cheaper price. I think most companies do that depending on application.

With Kooks, the last thing you will worry about is lack of build quality.

Jet-hot, Thermaltec and swain are just a few places to get headers coated.

The Nismo Headers are made by HKS Japan, btw.
I didn't know that. :read:

Because our "performance" market is so small. if we had the "performance" following of say, the 350/70Z cars, we'd have all kinds of goodies for our trucks. Simple business really.......supply and demand. There's a demand for parts, but not enough to justify a good supply, hence so few parts for us.
