So I went to Lowes yesterday and they didnt have sh*t for wire mesh..All they had was chicken wire and some plastic or vinyl type mesh that I'll be damned if I'm putting on my truck. Do you guys know the part number so I can just order it online?

they also say that crap. they can't even find their own shiet. it's in hardware where they have sheet metal, metal brackets. it might be in a slot. it's wrapped in cardboard. they have it believe me. there was a bunch of members that had a hard time finding it. just don't depend on their employees to help you.

LMAO I know! After spending 30 minutes going from the home and garden section to windows and doors to lumber ....back to garden...I finally just said dont worry about it. 4 different people had to help me...and one guy really tried to sell me on the chicken wire :domohit: ...so I just got some more bedliner to do my bumper and left. I'll go back today and see if I can find it.

HA> that's funny that the hardest part is actually finding it in the store. That's why i frickin hate walmart/lowes/home depot because NOTHING is where you would think it should be.

i could not find it in either of the 2 lowes near me. i was right with the sheet metal, other wire mesh, angle iron, threaded rod, no wire mesh. had to get wire lath from the stucco section. no look so bueno..

I'll try to make the best out of the trip..I've been meaning to head to corpus for a few stores we dont have in Kingsville (Big N' Tall, Best Buy, Cavender's) Maybe hit up the Wienerschnitzel for their bomb chilidogs..I'll make a day of it!

So Lowes had some expanded metal...but it looked goofy...it wasn't the normal stuff and I would recommend not using it for this mod. If you are interested it was on aisle 4 at the end.

I do remember that Home Depot had the stuff the last time I went.

Expanded metal can b found at some large recycle centers...i found mine at a metal distributor yard that only sells like 4 x9 sheets.....i needed it for a iron gate i was welding ...used the rest for grill mod.......
