So fellow members. I just got my 06 Titan Crew Cab back from getting the lift installed. I drove it home with no issues. Went to drive it the next day and on sharp turns the tire is contacting the frame. I found out when I got home and checked. It is not hitting the fender at all. I am currently running a 17" wheel with a 285/70/17 BFG KM2 tires. My wife called me at work and thought that something was broken. Is this being caused by the offset of my aftermarket 17" wheels? Would a wheel spacer in the front fix the problem? Thanks for all the advice in advance. Need her to feel comfortable driving the truck with the lift.

At one time I was running 35 12.50 18 on a stock Titan wheel with a 5.5" back spacing and no rubbing, what are the specs of your wheels

What's the brand, model, width and offset of the rims, and did they go on at the same time, or were they fine before?

Is it hitting the frame for certain, or could it be the UCA's, because the RC arms, (at least the ones that come with some of their leveling kits get tire rub with some rim/tire combinations).

Also, there was a guy asking about tie rod rubbing with a PC lift, and with that lift and stock rims, some have to swap the driver side and passenger side tie rod ends, and turn them over.

They are a 17" wheel with 4.5" backspacing. They came on the truck when I purchased it new. It also had a 2" leveling kit. Before the lift I would get a little contact on the inner fender now that is gone and when turning sharp like to go into a parking spot the tire is hitting the frame. Would a different offset wheel or a wheel spacer fix this issue? Thanks for all the replies

I'm running 295/70R17's on a 4.5" backspacing as well. My rub is almost all gone after grinding off part of the pinch weld. Your gonna need to hack, or get new rims.

Thanks for all the help...took it back to the shop that did the install and they forgot to swap the tie rod ends...now it is working great.

So your tire wasn't rubbing on the frame  the curved part of the tie rod end was rubbing on the wheel

you are correct. I figured it was hitting the frame as there was a clean spot on it...I was having my son help since I had to move the truck...Now that the tie rod ends are swapped it is working great.

So I'm having the same problem. How did you fix it? Put the passenger side rod end on the drivers side and the drivers side rod end on the passenger side? Do you have the rod end nuts on top or bottom of the spindle steering arm?

I have frame rubbing with my new 35" at full lock. Also that new brake bracket supplied with the RC lift was contacting the tire as well.

Correct. Swap outer tie rod ends and flip them so the bolt faces down.

I have stock 17" wheels... should that still work?

Yeah, if you swap the drivers side and passenger side you should be good to go. Face the bolts down. I love my lift so far.

Have any pics of the install?
